So support when we’re winning is it ? You might be better off supporting city
I'll always support. We aren't going anywhere though under this manager who clearly isn't good enough so it's hard to be overly invested in results.

Hope we win but a Win us bad for our future.

    What a catch 22.
I don't think it matters at this point; Ole isn't going anytime soon. They're holding out for as long as they can, I think. I think they're hoping Ole can withstand enough to still be here for the time that Poch gets sacked.

I dont think he could survive a defeat or draw with Watford.

    We'd have either 4 or 5 points from 21

Poch Rodgers are both uninspiring, and though better then Ole they arent what we need to compete with City/Liv/Chelsea.

Again, Poch is the ideal as he is non-confrontational and has delivered top 4 at Spurs on a shoestring budget. Our next appointment won't be about who's best placed to help us win the league either.

If Josh King scores the winner, you can imagine the field day the journo's would have. Wank bank material for narrative pedalers.

Possibly, I’m just insanely numb to the fact that we got spanked 5-0 at home by our biggest rivals and then totally outclassed (again at home) by our domestic rivals and the guy was still standing to go for a holiday for a bit and come back like nothing happened

Yeah our standards are rock bottom but I'd assume he needs to win against the shite teams and win one game every 3 if he wants to keep his job.

As long as he is clapped off like a clown in the arena nothing will happen either. It's the fanbase' fault too no matter how big their outcry is whenever that's mentioned.

And best of all, those who dare to doubt that Ole, after blowing half a billion and yet being paraded by our biggest rivals, is the right man for the job, are made out to be gloryhunters. And anyone who dares to say that he feels numb in the face of our board's inaction and no longer really looks forward to the games is asked to become a cityfan. The know-it-all and high horse brigade are very strongly represented at United.

I still think players coming out of the qualifiers will find it hard to get on with it. Ole will stick to his stubborn 3-4-1-2 format and make it difficult for everyone. He might switch it up in the second half but I seriously doubt if he will start a 4-2-3-1. The man is pretty adamant when it comes to picking the side and the formations regardless of what others say. He might pay the price for it with his job this time if he is not careful. A win is not guaranteed for sure, I think it will be a difficult game at Vicarage road.

You'd have said the same about losing 5-0 to LFC. He survived.
You'd have said the same about losing to MCFC. He not only survived but went on holiday.
If he fails to beat Watford, he'll definitely survive. 99%.

Yeah really hard to care about results when he's drowning in mediocrity isn't it

We’ll make watford look like world beaters but Ronaldo and Bruno will save us the embarrassment. 3-2 win, Ole with fists up in the air celebrating another week he’s saved from the sack. Then a post match interview comparing Ronaldo to Brady to further solidify his head being stuck right up the Glazers’ arses.

Yeah wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if we get an NFL reference in the next six months, after all we have already had the NBA one this season.

Can't see us not winning this one - feels like a sort of game we'd win comfortably before shitting the bed elsewhere.

You’d still want the team to win regardless. The writing is on the wall for him he’ll eventually get sacked . I just can’t want anything else than a win every time we play.

I’d love to see an attacking, attempt to play football lineup but I know Ole is only focused on holding onto his job for as long as possible regardless of how it leaves us. My ideal lineup but not holding my breath.

    De Gee
    AWB Bailey Maguire Shaw
    VDB Pogba
    Bruno
    Sancho Ronaldo Rashford

Pogba is injured. Sp swap him for Matic and I think it's a decent lineup.

Though we're fooling ourselves, we'll get McFred again, with Greenwood replacing Sancho.

Ohh yeah forgot his out for several weeks. Tbh I don’t mind either one of Matic, Fred, or McTominay each have their strength and weaknesses and none are extremely great as CDM (Matic due to age) , when it’s annoying is when you have two of them playing at the cost of players like VDB, Pogba etc .

Honestly, If Ole played Greenwood as CF once in a while I’d respect him as a manager who at least tries to develop young players. Greenwood is an out and out number 9, he’s not learning anything for 80% of the match playing wide.

The games v City and Scousers were pivotal to Moyes and
Just can't see us having a run of defeats like we saw with Smith at Villa, mainly due to individual brilliance digging us out of course.
We shouldn't need to - we are Man Utd, not Aston Villa. Competent owners would have seen enough by now. Their owners however haven't allowed expectations to be lowered and have acted swiftly after significant summer spending.

    Agreed.
Those who say that we should support another club, probably don't quite understand what it means to support a club.
You don't chop and change depending on which way the wind blows.
We want to support our chosen club and that's it.
I support MUFC.....I simply cannot support any other club. If any other club wins/loses, I don't care. Most of the time, I don't even bother watching other clubs play, until they play us.
We want the best for MUFC and that tends to lead to frustration and comments which display this.
If changing club was a remote possibility for any of us do you think we'd really be on here tearing our hair out everyday and despairing at the way our club is run?

I'll only ever support Utd which is why I desperately want us to get it right and start competing again - we have the squad for it (for now).

    Hopeful that some common sense is shown here although it is doubtful. We need to bin the back 3 as it does not make best use of our resources and only worked at Spurs because they were terrible. We should seriously look at using the squad and focusing on guys who were rested during the internationals and also avoid rushing Shaw into the team as it sounds like his concussion issues are lingering. I doubt we are bold enough to leave Bruno and Ronny on the bench but I certainly would. The team should be;

    DDG

    AWB Lindelof Maguire Telles

    Matic VDB

    Sancho Lingard Rashford

    Martial
I expect instead Bruno over Lingard, Ronny over Martial and Scott instead of VDB.

The iPad that ole uses battery ran out last season and they haven't told him how to recharge it, so he practices his smiling from the reflection it gives off ready for the interviews after the match.

What's the point of expending energy on whether a win means a manager change is put off or not. Let that come when it comes. In the mean time, the pressing concern is that this team has to start winning games again, whether it's under OGS or someone else. And it has to do so with these players.
