Ah well, at least we didnt loose.

Didnt see Albion's 2nd goal, what was it like and who's to blame? :)
Jones came out to press the ball and left a gaping hole between rafael and rojo. Berahino drifted into that space in a mili second and brunt found him. he went through on goal opened his body at the last moment and curled a finish past de gea's. it was jones fault. rafael should have tucked in and pressed instead jones pressed.

Unlucky not to win on the balance of the game, just yet another game where the opposition took every chance that fell their way! The worst period for me was between Berahino's goal and Blind's. We just lost all shape and composure and I couldn't see us getting another goal.

In terms of player performances, Mata and Januzaj were both very poor and Rojo looked shaky to say the least, but it's good to see Fellaini have a good game.

We are too slow to get into shape when we lose the ball. Playing a very high line was a bit risky

Good thing we are showing signs of improvement

    The problems:

    We're lost without Rooney.
Jones needs games, not permanent residence in the physio room.
We do not have a proper holding mid in the squad.
RvP may, just may, be a spent force now.
Mata isn't going to cut it here.

    There's only one United!
I'll disagree. it was important to get on the scoreboard for those 5 matches and we did. we will improve.
Now that's how we have to look at this match!

Fix our defensive problems and We WILL improve - come on people look on the bright side.

Saw the goal, both Rafael and Jones at fault imo.

Taking the next corner instead of Jones!
Some people really need to realise that sorting out our problems is going to take more than a few months. We are a work in progress, and whilst the result is disappointing there are signs that things are better than last year. It needs time guys - a bit of patience is all.
Neville has it right there's no team play! If we lose the next two games we could be in 12th place after 10 games … with what we've spent even I'll be laughing!

    …as they wheel me away!

Januzaj and Mata along with RVP had nightmare game. I dont understand why there is no single pass from midfield to opposition box.Why so much crossing or long pass. No play build up just blind cross onto box.

I think Rojo has to take some blame as well. Jones pushed in with Sessegnon, so when Berahino drifted behind, Rojo really should have covered him for a few seconds while Jones was out of position.

Showed great character to come back from behind twice. West Brom were under hammer in the 2nd half. Referee was poor for us as usual. Defending was bad from us though (no surprises).

Januzaj was extremely poor, gave the ball away too easily & missed a great chance to score.

Falcao should have started, there is not point playing him at 70th min when Di maria is going to be taken off.

    Looking for Eric
Jones was marking the treatment table, Adnan and Mata were poor. Falcao has to start up top on his own RVP looked better when he dropped deeper. We lack composure at both ends of the pitch.

    Disagree here:

The problem was that Rafael did not hold his position with our defensive line and he played Berahino onside.

I am very surprised by the tactical decisions today

Falcao is by far our best Header of the ball but he dose not start so we have no one at the end of those delicious crossed from Di Maria.

yet he did not start because of "Jet lag" yet Di Mario runs himself into the ground on International duty in the Far East (2 games for Argentina) so he should be more tired (as Falcao wont do as much running as Di Maria)

now we have ended up with the scenario where are best player/only hope against Chelsea and City could not be 100% or even worse be out of the next game because of his Injury

I could not have hopped for a worse outcome of this 90 minutes

you could blame Rojo for not following berhino since he was marking him for most of the game..rohjo didnt sense the danger in the situatuion.. rafael stayed outside to prevent pocognoli from having a free run on the left. jones didnt need to press that far up. to me it was mostly jones's fault

Van Gaal's use of Falcao is getting annoying. He's not a Hernandez or Welbeck he's a world class player who has the stats to back him up. This is game that could of really given us a boost and the players. £150 million and we can't even beat West Brom.

RvP looked much better when Falcao came on. They have to start together.
RVP has to start against Chelsea due mainly to him being on the best at clearance headers in our own box! We just have to hope he clicks on the day.

    parked the bus......

    what game are you watching?

    edit

    who care's we scored!!!
They did, have you watched a different game? The scored 2 goals out of 2 chances, possesion was 64 to 36 for united, chances 7 - 2 in favour of united, 11 - 0 in corners for united.
They basically scored 2 goals out of 2 counter attacks.

Don't know if Van Persie gets to start every game? He is quite simply past his best. Falcao was outstanding when he came on, that's how you keep the ball up.
Is LVG afraid of starting off fires of a mutiny if he sends RVP on the bench or what? I really can's stand RVP starting until he sorts his shit in training and/or accepts to play the role of the guy who comes off the bench.

Well all three are somewhat to blame, but it certainly wasn't fully Jones' fault.

RvP was horrible. He looks a shadow of his old-self. Falcao should be starting, I assume he wasn't because of the internationals. Di Maria is much better in cm, that way he runs at defenders that are not used to a winger running at them, much more deadly. Rooney is showing to be better than Mata at cam. Adnan shows signs of good play but is missing that decisevness he had last year, taking too long and defense is in position. Fellaini was very good, scored a beauty and looked calm on ball. Also didn't just stay up front which Moyes told him to do last year. Blind looks good. Herrera should not have started, very poor. Jones, I have always believed he would be a superstar but I am having doubts. Cant fault DDG. Shaw was alright, not good but not poor. Rafael, love him. Brillaint going forward but should wake up on defense.

I think the biggest mistake was to change formation. di Maria is not so much involved in the game when he is a winger. That problem has to be solved. He is our saviour and our creator. By being placed as a winger, he can't be involved in the game as he want to and can't also be running with the ball from a deep position.

Shaw is seriously in big trouble. His defending is terrible at the moment. Was also awful defensively against Everton. Sessognon's goal is Shaw's fault. Lose his battle at the header and doesn't track Blind's area, when Blind is chasing Wisdom. The communication and the awareness wasn't good here by Shaw.

Mata is too anonymous. He needs to clear his fecking head and show his former game. This was awful.

Januzaj just shows us why van Gaal has placed him on the bench. Bad performance.

But I'm still convinced that van Gaal is the man for us. Just look at our game. We create chance, we have a gameplan and we are not afraid when we have the ball. The problem is the defensive organisation and concentration. When those two problems have been sorted, we will be winning again.

They deserved a point at least.

We will never get a penalty again. A defender could catch the ball in his own penalty area and carry up field in his hands and throw it in our net and the ref would give them a goal.

Falcao didn't start playing because he returned to late. He was jetlagged. He was first in Manchester friday evening.
