I don't care much for the precedent set that Rashford can play poorer than the other forwards and be exempt from the same repercussions as term. Greenwood perhaps has a right to feel disappointed that he gets subbed off when he's playing better and not starting when merit would rightly retain his place.
Why focus on rashford when martial is in the team

I dont like the precedent of rashford playing on the right while someoen who has been robbing a living all season is playing in his position

At the moment it seems as if martial could spend the whole 90 minutes led down in the centre circle and still get picked the following week

I think it's about managing Greenwood. Anyway, he's hardly on form this season both scoring or assists wise.

His general play is as bad as Martial right now. Rashford might have better numbers but his overall game is operating on a comparitive level.
So if they’re playing as poorly but one is scoring and making more goals, which one should be playing?

De Gea, Martial and even Rashford need to step it up. If Bruno doesn't produce some magic, then we don't win and even then it isn't certain - see Everton.

Picked 10 , I got Greenwood in, Martial will go on left and Rashford on the right, which I think takes a bit away from him. But its nice Bially on bench after his injury. Just need to try and keep winning.

The biggest issue going forward is Rashford and Martial have been putting in 0/10 performances for the last couple of months. No excuses for the pair of them. They've been in the first team squad for far too long to still be this inconsistent.

Counter attacking is a negative way to set up as you’re allowing the opposition to pressure you. It’s rare that top teams deploy counter attacking as their primary plan A like we do.
The first half against Everton was flat out amazing though, they were barely allowed to have the ball. This narrative has some holes in it.

We played like this against West Ham, too. They didn’t have a kick in the first half (albeit this actually looked like Moyes’ grand plan). The suggestion that we don’t look to dominate these games is rubbish.

How can he play essentially the same team that completely folded against Everton and justify that selection?

How many goals does De Gea need to give away before enough is enough? How many abject and utterly uninterested displays from Martial before he draws the line?

Ole has done well to get rid of the likes of Rojo, Sanchez, Pereira etc, but he needs to be ruthless with those still in the squad. Terrible performances need consequences, not be rewarded with selection. Henderson must be fecking raging.

Glad martial is back in. Greenwood doesn’t influence the game as good as martial. No need for us to keep handicapping ourselves on the right.

I wonder and am very surprised why Diallo isn’t even on the bench against one of the worst sides in the league considering he wasn’t even in the U23 squad against Arsenal on Friday night?

Other than that, was hoping Henderson would start but that team should win this game.

I know plenty wanted to see both Bailly, Henderson start but no surprise De GeaL, lindelof are starting.

Martial for Greenwood more of surprise.

Cavani is 34 years young today hopefully a very happy birthday for him.

Greenwood should be starting - Rashford is much better on the left although he has produced from the right-hand side recently. Other than that, can't really complain.

I have real concerns about De Gea and I’m not sure why Martial gets in ahead of Greenwood or Rashford for that matter. With every West Brom corner or set piece I’ll be shitting hot conkers.

I think it’s fair game to give Ole some stick for persisting with De Gea. But minus Greenwood, who is hardly pulling up any trees, the rest of the team more or less picks itself (Bailly’s fitness is woolly, which we know).

A couple of injuries does show how poorly supported he has been in the transfer market from an attacking perspective, as our bench looks quite poor in this respect.

So instead of playing Rashford in his most comfortable position, we shoehorn him out onto the right, to take the place of a much improved Greenwood so we can find a place for Martial.

This team has come far since Ole came in, but there's still too many players are are so dislikeable. Martial and De Gea to name two.

I don't like to be down on our own players, but we all know how it's going to go today. West brom are going drop balls on top of De gea and he's gonna shit out of every challenge. Made even worse with it being so windy and him being 8 stone piss wet through.
    Actually dreading this one.

Why do we insist on presenting the team in squad number order? It maybe made sense when the team was numbered 1-11 but not these days!
... because they only have to disclose who is playing - not the formation etc. The media department might not even know if it is 4231 or a diamond etc in case the manager has done a tactical change, and you don't want to give your opposition more information than necessary.

Henderson must be wondering if there is any point to him training if he can't get ahead of De Gea in his current state.
De Gea's time is running out, 3 seasons in a row the mistakes are creeping in. Genuinely one of the few players that has regressed under Ole, think it may be his last as our out and out No. 1.

Greenwoods from a general play point of view has been our best performing attacker for a good few games.

Really think he should have played.
