  1. 25th May, city in the final: What could swing it in our favour? Scenarios?

Mans going to spend the whole game looking for excuses to screw us over. If I was a betting man I'd be expecting at least 1 red card and / or penalty against prompted by VAR review.
  2. VAR and Refs | General Discussion

In fairness his lino put the flag up, that was where the error was. He has to trust him and assume a clear offside really, even though technically he could play on. He was good all night though, agree on that. Can't imagine the pressure and fatigue of the occasion but still from the assistant...
  3. Thoughts on Tuchel as a potential United manager?

So.. His team don't like him very much His keeper drops ricketts He had no luck with injuries He gets dicked by bad refereeing at a crucial time. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss....will we get fooled again?
  4. Champions League — quarter-finals and semi-finals draw

Because the flag was after the goal, in this case the flag and whistle was while the ball was still active. At best it's a major cock up, at worst... well. It's Madrid, in Madrid. Quelle Surprise.
  5. Champions League — quarter-finals and semi-finals draw

That was dodgy as hell, sorry. No way they flag that normally.
  6. Champions League — quarter-finals and semi-finals draw

Would love a Real - Dortmund Final. Just so glad that for this year state owned teams are in the mud. It won't last forever, but good it's still possible. Additional props for lady luck taking a dim view of PSG tonight. You love to see it.
  7. Who replaces Ten Hag?

Careful what you wish for. It's the kind of nightmare where you think you have woken up, the birds are singing, your lovers arms are around you... Then you roll over and it turns out you've been playing little spoon to Moyes all these years.
  8. Who replaces Ten Hag?

A positive outcome? Positive? Positively can stick up their bottoms if that's their idea of progress.
  9. When Will We Win Next?

Have to agree, with the level of fight we showed today they will mow straight through us. The only hope is as it's at home the players will have more about them, but they just don't have the physicality, the legs or, in some cases, the mentality to cope
  10. Premier League clubs have agreed in principle to introduce a spending cap

Maybe, but there are still advantages to being us. We have such a big fanbase & global viewership that external player sponsorships will always be more valuable than if they play for less viewed EPL teams - makes us still more attractive even if we are spending up to the cap alongside...
  11. Premier League clubs have agreed in principle to introduce a spending cap

Well the rule breaking is just a symptom of the problem though. They did it, and should be punished back to the stone age for it, but the underlying problem is that they are state owned with infinite resources. Sooner or later, even if they hadn't cheated, it would get them to where they are now...
  12. Premier League clubs have agreed in principle to introduce a spending cap

Yeah we do, but we can't complain about city while trying to feather the bed for ourselves. We'll always be able to be at the top end of that spend limit, but it means we will have to do better rather than just spending to get an advantage. If it brings about a fairer and more interesting league...
  13. Premier League clubs have agreed in principle to introduce a spending cap

Without seeing the details it's hard to really comment, but in principle it sounds like a good idea and stops the state & commercially very strong clubs running away from the rest of the pack. Of course the devil is always in the detail, but as with any of this stuff they have to make sure...
  14. City and Financial Doping | Charged by PL with numerous FFP breaches

Sky are a global commercial organization. Don't for one second imagine the good of the game is what they are concerned with. They will play it in the best way for them not to jeopardize future commercial interests, which likely means keeping state owned clubs on side. If (big if) there is a...
