  1. VAR and Refs | General Discussion | May 15: Premier League clubs to vote on proposal to scrap VAR from next season

Of course the automated offside system used in the champions league is being implemented in September/October this year so that should speed up and clear up the majority of offside decisions. Little point delving into space between players and obvious errors with the impending change coming so...
  2. VAR and Refs | General Discussion | May 15: Premier League clubs to vote on proposal to scrap VAR from next season

Quote from Michael Oliver couple of years ago… “I never referee Newcastle games. We have to declare if we have an allegiance to any club or if a family member works at a club. You can’t do any match involving that team and I can’t do Sunderland either for obvious reasons. Because Newcastle are...
  3. VAR and Refs | General Discussion | May 15: Premier League clubs to vote on proposal to scrap VAR from next season

Unless it’s Martial then the penalty doesn’t get given by the onfield referee and the player gets booked for diving. Good job that one did get overturned!
  4. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

Completely agree. We spend all summer breaking the ownership down and all the issues they bring. How difficult they make it for any manager to run the club effectively. Then as soon as things go wrong on the pitch it’s ten hags fault, or it’s Bruno’s fault, or it’s Rashford or it’s mount. The...
  5. Ivan Toney

Yuck, avoid. He would still be really expensive too.
  6. Ivan Toney

He’s indicated in an interview recently arsenal would be his club of choice. Can’t remember the exact word selection but seemed like he was angling for a move there. Question marks over his attitude with the disrespect he’s showing Brentford and of course the betting ban. Think we should stay...
  7. Premier League Gameweek 5

    Love TNT sports, absolute dynamite.
  8. Match Officials Mic'd Up (Show where reffing decisions are explained)

I’m fairly sure in the very first interview between Webb, Neville and Carragher that Neville asked this same question. Webb told him that at the moment they were not allowed to play live feed of the audio during the games. I can’t remember the name of the international governing body who makes...
  9. Pathetic fans booing Maguire

Completely agree it’s counter productive. And I don’t agree with booing your own players for performance related reasons. However I do think as players when you get into football (especially in the social media age) you’re aware that you get praised and criticised to the extremes. And when you...
  10. Pathetic fans booing Maguire

Booing has always and will always be part and parcel of the sport. Yes it’s not very nice but the players are compensated well. He has made plenty of posts through his social media channels backing the support he has received from the fans so it’s clearly not something he is too bothered about...
  11. Pathetic fans booing Maguire

And don’t forget paid £200,000 a week to do that job!
  12. Players whose names are a lie

Clarence Seedorf - Never saw Tyrion coming..
  13. PL Weekend 30th/31st

1 point out of 6 for Leicester. Title race over. Crisis.
  14. PL Weekend 30th/31st

The penalty incident is confusing me. I was sure in any case the ball was cleared out for a corner. After they decided no handball the game continued with a free kick to villa.. not even a goal kick. It was a free kick taken from where the initial shot was taken.
  15. Fans planning Old Trafford walkout

I don’t think either is more or less of a fan and has more or less of a right to an opinion than anyone else. That being said, a few years ago when I was a match going fan you see more of the work that players did off the ball which you physically can’t see on the telly due to the cameras...
