  1. Bryan Mbeumo | Newcastle ready to make bid (Telegraph)

I’m slightly concerned, looking at xG overperformance of both Cunha and Mbeumo this year. Is that what you’re referring to when you say he profiles like a player who’s just hit a purple patch? Not sure I agree, but want to understand your perspective. What are you referring to when you say Mane...

Have you seen Amad play? He’s frequently carrying the ball as wide as you can get, and running at the defenders from the literal touchline. It’s like saying Arsenal have no width with Ødegaard and Saka on the pitch, yet that’s their most dangerous combination

There’s also the question of which club you’d back to have a shot at winning the league during his contract period. Despite our troubles, I could see why someone would think we’re a more likely prospect to do that than Newcastle, all things considered.

I don’t see any lies here
  5. Which six players would you keep?

He's been pretty clear on his position, if he leaves it's because the club have decided to cash in.
  6. Which six players would you keep?

He was a good player that delivered good performances, but didn't quite live up to the price tag. He also screwed us over in many ways, and put himself way above the club, helped by an extremely annoying Mino Raiola (God rest his soul). All in all a good footballer for us, but not a good squad...
  7. Which six players would you keep?

Yes, but that’s not because Pogba wasn’t a good player for us. He was pretty crocked and had a crazy entourage. Couldn’t get further from Bruno’s situation.
  8. Which six players would you keep?

Good poll! Shocked to see only 55% have Bruno in their lists.
  9. If we are to assume that Cunha fills the left-sided #10 role, who do you want in the right-sided position?

That's awfully light at the back - what happens when MDL does his ACL in January, as is pretty much inevitable? I certainly hope Maguire at least is kept around. There's noise about Shaw leaving, which would leave us with 6 players for 3 positions (Yoro, Maz, Maguire, MDL, Martinez, Heaven)...
  10. Bryan Mbeumo | Newcastle ready to make bid (Telegraph)

He's the one who has shown his attitude doesn't stink, and I think he has the mental resilience required. But I'd be pretty wary of coming back in the fold if I were him. Seems like he's really loving it in Betis, and if he/we don't hit the ground running next season, he'll likely end up...

Agree. Like, if Brentford finish 10th and Manchester United finish 5th next year, will we be saying "United is a better coached team than Brentford will ever be under Frank"? No nuance to it, just an angry dog barking.
  12. Garnacho (Out) | Amorim tells him to find new club (Athletic)

This is exactly it, and the (very valid) reason we’re considering his sale. We need big improvement now, and only then should we consider developing Garnacho type talents. He’s talented for sure, but not outrageously so. There are plenty of 20-22 year old players with similar skill-sets and...
  13. Bryan Mbeumo | Newcastle ready to make bid (Telegraph)

Given our struggles this season, those are exactly the 3 positions we should strengthen first. Play some blistering attacking football next season, and then consolidate from there - similar to the order Liverpool went.
  14. Viktor Gyökeres

So it's between us and Arsenal? The bolded I hadn't heard yet, who's said that?
  15. Álvaro Carreras | Benfica

That's some trajectory! I would not have foreseen that, looking at him in our U21s. Yeah well, I really do not think he'd have that kind of development slogging along in our current team. All in all, we're probably getting more value out of him this way than we would have if we'd have kept him...
