Stockport train at City's old Carrington site now so United will be able to keep close control of the situation
  2. Miscellaneous Reserve/Youth News

I believe an U17/16 team are playing Crewe Alex U18 at the Cliff tonight. Anyone know any details?
  3. Charlie McNeill | on loan to Stevenage

The fact that this thread exists shows how the attitudes of the recruitment in the academy has changed in recent years. If you felt United wasn't good enough you were waved goodbye and that was that.
  4. Miscellaneous Reserve/Youth News

Just starting his third full time season I believe.
  5. 20/21 Youth Intake thread

I've heard the 18's are back in from 27th July so should become clearer then.
  6. Miscellaneous Reserve/Youth News

City may have encouraged a few players to sign for them rather than United but I think the only one that left United to join City was Charlie McNeil and that was about u12.
  7. Miscellaneous Reserve/Youth News

I thought Daniel Polokowski (GK), Rhys Bennett, Oliver Kilner and Ola Ibrahim are still at the club.
  8. Miscellaneous Reserve/Youth News

I would expect the other players retained from this season’s Under 16's would get their chance before the lads from the U15,s.
  9. Would you sack or keep Ole? (Poll reopened)

I can't understand why anyone would think it's a good idea to get rid of Ollie at the moment. Got to give at least two more years IMO. Let him get rid of the parasites pretending to wear the shirts and do the re building job. Once the club is on an even keel, then decide if he is the man to take...
  10. Hannibal Mejbri - Manchester United Player

No where near ready for first team IMO. I may be proved wrong but in the U18's games I've seen he has struggled to impose himself. The lad clearly has talent and in 18 months when he has developed more physically and adjusted to English football, we may see a step up.
  11. I'm off to the Milk Cup tomorrow

You have to take into account that United don't have many U16 born in 2004. Shoretire and Kilner (injured) didn't travel so only Lawton, Nkwonto & Morson are U16, the rest of the squad are U15.
  12. Miscellaneous Reserve/Youth News

Ollie Kilner has captained the 2004 group for the last 6 years. They seem to be missing his drive as he is recovering from a broken leg sustained at Blackburn towards the end of last season.
  13. U18s - Blackburn vs Manchester United

Can't really call it a loss, the game was abandoned with around 15/20 mins left due to a serious injury to one of the United lads.
  14. Miscellaneous Reserve/Youth News

A United u14/15 team play Cambridge United u15 at the Abbey Stadium tonight. Kick off 6pm. https://www.cambridge-united.co.uk/news/2018/october/academy-man-united-one-week/
  15. What should Utd's footballing philosophy be?

It has to be attack, attack, attack but when we have been successful, we have had a quality defence to back this up. Currently our centre half's aren't good enough and need protection hence the more defensive style. Whenever we open up we get ripped apart.
