  1. Neville - ‘’no style of play’’

This just isn't true though is it, our biggest problem is that we're far too gung-ho and have no control when the ball is turned-over.
  2. How do we solve our midfield problem?

This is the crux and all roads lead to Pogba not fitting in. Despite what we endlessly hear about style of play etc... for me we do have a clear structure / approach but it isn't being implemented well at all at the moment, primarily down to over-committing players forward. But also...
  3. Pass completion % for CMs

I mean you just needed to watch the game to understand how bad Fred and Matic's passing was on Sunday, the stats bear that out. What are Fred's stats for the whole of last season, my perception with him is that he's a very average passer but would guess he's around 85% consistently but he does...
  4. Set pieces issue, who's to blame? the manager, coaching staff or the players?

We were quite poor from set-pieces for a while under Mourhinho, i remember us conceding a lot of chances this way but perhaps we got a bit luckier than we have this season (or DDG made more saves!). We had improved this last season with Maguire coming in and he even spoke about working on this...
  5. Glazers / Woodward out! (One down)

Exactly this, we might not like Neville's stance on this to-date but we won't find a better mouthpiece to support a movements so its important this moment isn't missed and the fans really need to unite, put away the egos or the i told you so attitudes and focus on the true enemy and the main...
  6. Why the heck #OLEOUT is trending again?

Not ignoring or discounting the role of the managers/coaches but they're not comparable to where we are at under this manager, the context is not comparable. Both Pep and Simeone are working in much more stable environments, Pep has been at City almost five years (with the team built for him at...
  7. Why the heck #OLEOUT is trending again?

the point about City is well off for me, they've spent hundreds of millions on defenders many of which have failed and have finally seemingly found a combination that is working with Dias, Stone and Cancello (though they've got to prove this for the rest of the season). In attack they just...
  8. Julian Nagelsmann | Sacked and replaced by Tuchel

RB very nearly did, think they needed a last minute deflected / keeper howler to beat Istanbul. We suffered from what is clearly plaguing our season, what seems like arrogance turning up to games that we should win comfortably with the wrong attitude.
  9. Post match vs Sheffield United

I don't know but i bet you're someone that claims we don't have a style of play or identity. Playing it out from the back is very much a distinct style of play that we try and purposefully do to break the press and spring against the opposition that has pushed up, it didn't work for the opener...
  10. Would you sack or keep Ole? (Poll reopened)

It wasn't even instant though, he was trophy-less in his first year despite everything being laid-out and prepared for him at City from at least two years (and probably longer) before he arrived. The structure of the club had a long-term plan to build a squad and philosophy that would fit Pep...
  11. Would you sack or keep Ole? (Poll reopened)

    Great post.
  12. Ole Gunnar Solskjær | 2021/22 Discussion

I didn't miss it because it didn't happen. It was clear he was struggling but if he couldn't carry on he would have / should have gone down so play is stopped and we can make the change, he didn't. There was one incident where the change to wing-backs yielded them a chance which DDG saved...
  13. Ole Gunnar Solskjær | 2021/22 Discussion

What nonsense, so he didn't react within three minutes of a formation change and then we went behind and down to ten men and the game is completely different. He obviously wanted to keep Rashford on as he was killing them at the start of the 2nd half, even Robbie Savage could spot that...
  14. Fred’s value

This,. He was so good in that second half and has been for good while now (excepting the poor foul for the free kick), gives us energy and if he could just cut out those poor touches / passes which lead to possession turnovers in our third he would be up there with the best in the league.
