Don't want. Maddison + Longstaff would be better.
True.. It's what is called clueless board and clueless structure.Another player available on the market who is set to join a fellow Premier League team and we never acted upon our supposed "interest". It really is disappointing especially when we are looking for a Center Midfielder and Tanguy Ndombele fits that role and has the abilities we require.
We can't identify the problem areas and get strategy right as well. It's a rubbish argument. We can't buy everyone you know
With respect, that notion doesn't really hold water. We're a consistent top 4 finisher in the world's most competitive league, CL finalists, with a sought-after manager and a world-class stadium and training centre. And it's not like we're talking about signing Messi or Ronaldo. As much as I respect Spurs and where they are heading this really shouldn’t be a signing they stand a chance of doing but if they pull it off then props to them. Would put another nail in the coffin of the people making the decisions at United for me.
Weirdly when I was writing my post above I first wrote if Spurs end up getting Ndombele and we ended up buying Longstaff and Maddison I would probably die of laughter with the way our club is heading.Don't want. Maddison + Longstaff would be better.
You gotta be kidding me. Maddison will cost the same amount as Ndombele. And Longstaff does not want to leave Newcastle. This is such a dumb attitude to have. Ndombele will be a huge asset for Spurs. We are penny pinching when we've could easily get these deals done.Don't want. Maddison + Longstaff would be better.
Not sure those 2 are the issue on this one.Ole and phelan making huge mistake on this one. It's like letting fabinho join Liverpool.
Same here, that moron Woodward is winding me up thinking of it.Weirdly when I was writing my post above I first wrote if Spurs end up getting Ndombele and we ended up buying Longstaff and Maddison I would probably die of laughter with the way our club is heading.
Given our structure, if they want they go for him, period. This is our structure unfortunately and it will lie on those two.Not sure those 2 are the issue on this one.
Really? Ah and here was me thinking we could. Seriously though, you claiming "we can't buy everyone" sounds ridiculous considering the club hasn't even signed anyone for this particular role yet and given the caliber of Center Midfielder's our rivals are signing it stands out even more. Both Spurs and City are close to getting quality players in Rodri and Ndombele and we still haven't come close to signing any Center Midfielder and we are already approaching preseason. We can't buy everyone you know
That's the whole point. Is there any footballing wisdom left?I think it's a bit ridiculous we're castigating the club for not signing a player it appears we were never seriously in for.
you cant fix all the problems at once. I am equally angered by the lack of transfers and strategy but if we get upset over all the targets we missed then you will cry a riverWe can't identify the problem areas and get strategy right as well. It's a rubbish argument.
I am with you on that 100%. But it's better not to have any expectation. Keeps the disappointment levels downReally? Ah and here was me thinking we could. Seriously though, you claiming "we can't buy everyone" sounds ridiculous considering the club hasn't even signed anyone for the role yet and we are already approaching preseason. I have been advocating for us to sign this type of player along with many others for a while and recognise he has the abilities to potentially succeed. This is why I'm disappointed that we never acted upon our known interest in a player who fits the role we are looking for.
I really don't see how people cannot fathom this. This is the type of signing which is smart business, great talent but not over inflated price due to not being at a big club. He will do well in the league he's a quality player. With respect, that notion doesn't really hold water. We're a consistent top 4 finisher in the world's most competitive league, CL finalists, with a sought-after manager and a world-class stadium and training centre. All in all, I'd say that Spurs are an attractive proposition for many good players.
it would have been at least 80M if we were involved..No no noooooooooooooo
Only 62 M € !
No no noooooooooooooo
Ed it's official now, no matter what you do this summer, you can't fix all the mistakes you already made.
You didn't try to get him for 62 M € ?
Just where are you going to find a better deal ?
Nowhere you fool, just leave us alone now and keep your stupid 60 M £ AWB with you.
What"s longstaff going to achieve as a sole player who work to win the ball while pogba and supposedly Bruno who is an attacking midfielder from what I have heard leave him alone? Or are we going to use matic and mctominay as first teamers? He would have been a bona fida Fergie signing, but I believe he did not want to sign for a club outside the Champions League, so absolutely nothing Ole can do.
Anyways fingers crossed Ole lands someone like Longstaff with potential, who then eventually turns out to be The New Carrick.
Understand the frustration but this just.........No no noooooooooooooo
Only 62 M € !

Fair enough, I can honestly see your point there .I am with you on that 100%. But it's better not to have any expectation. Keeps the disappointment levels down
Mctominay yes I would imagine. Maybe Fred can step it up too. Have a feeling Idrissa Gueye might be the other CM Ole wants. What"s longstaff going to achieve as a sole player who work to win the ball while pogba and supposedly Bruno who is an attacking midfielder from what I have heard leave him alone? Oh you can, this clueless board the way it operates lowers the expectations from the club and its supporters due to their penny pinching and also dumb vision, planning and cluelessness.="Velvet Revolver, post: 24319310, member: 54105"]you cant fix all the problems at once. We can't sign everyone and there are more pressing areas than midfield. If we have different targets that's hardly something that we should hold the club accountable for. That's the whole point. Is there any footballing wisdom left?
Which is the issue.I think it's a bit ridiculous we're castigating the club for not signing a player it appears we were never seriously in for.
So what was the reason for struggling to sign players last year?We are in the europa league with a manager who will probably be with Molde by March. No wonder why we are struggling to buy new players
How about use our effn brain and sell deadwood like matic, earn cash and reinvest. Sick of this poor arguements. We can't sign everyone and there are more pressing areas than midfield. If we have different targets that's hardly something that we should hold the club accountable for.
There isn't any more pressing area than the midfield, the reason we are shit for 6 years plus.We can't sign everyone and there are more pressing areas than midfield. If we have different targets that's hardly something that we should hold the club accountable for.
The issue is no matter what player is signed by our rivals, people post the same shit about how we should of been signing said player. We can't sign everyoneWhich is the issue.
We were with a manager who was probably going to be sacked by DecemberSo what was the reason for struggling to sign players last year?
That won't help, obviously. But it is starting to look like the board have turned the taps off.We are in the europa league with a manager who will probably be with Molde by March. No wonder why we are struggling to buy new players
