Simply not good enough. He has shocking stats for a player in his playing position and at his age. There’s probably centre backs who’ve got better stats.

OGS persisting with him will contribute to the death of OGS tenure here if it continues.

Shocker of a player, hopefully Southgate drops him. The hype around both him and Rashy has given them both huge egos bigger than their actual talent, at least Marcus is better and has time to improve.
Just get the kids in, we are not winning anything so why lose with same shite when we can lose with youth getting experience at least.

Thank feck this kid gets to play in his favorite positions, now we can finally see his true qualities. He was wasted on the wing.

There isn't really a reason to justify him being in the team at the moment. He doesn't score enough, he doesn't make many key passes or get assists, or even contribute that much to our buildup play. He's the most obvious candidate to lose his position in the side. However, he's also extremely fortunate that we have such rubbish attacking options at the moment. He will continue to get in simply because Greenwood is too inexperienced and Mata is too "slow" (as if speed is the real problem here). That's it, really.

Some of those first touches were horrendous. Rashford or Martial would have controlled them and opened up room for chances.

He is a big problem, and a cowardly player. All too happy to pass the responsibility and run around like a headless chicken. That was just about enough when he was a young squad player breaking through, but now he is supposed to be one of our more experienced players, and he is proving to be not good enough.

He'd get nowhere near the top 6, or Wolves, Everton or Leicester. West Ham have Anderson, Antonio, Lanzini and Fornals, so not them either.

Would Jesse start for Bournemouth? Brooks and Fraser would be above him, whose their #10?

He does a lot of off the ball work, world class without the ball.

It's not even funny anymore with the number of minutes this guy gets, but we have no depth in that position and unfortunately that means we will see more of Lingard. I still can't believe that for such an average player he somehow has got himself in a number of adverts.

Three games in and it's not been great for Jesse. Had a pretty poor pre season too, to be honest. Does need to be dropped, but his replacements are not exactly top class.

Ole is fecked either way, if he puts out the kids instead of the 'experienced' players it might highlight to the media what a shit show Ed Woodward has made of this side.

Nah. If Ole gives the kids chances, and develops them he'll earn a lot of credit.

Same with Lampard. If he develops a stylish attacking team full of young players he'll get more credit and time. But you have to be able and willing to do it.

Which is what I hope happens. Garner and Gomes deserve to be at least on the bench and getting minutes as subs. Why Ole continues to use Mata as a game changer is beyond me including the club giving him a new contract.
