Whilst I applaud your United-centric interpretation of it, I remember it as Evans both panicking and seeing red at the same time and he would have fully deserved his sending off.

Definitely my favourite piece of bad refereeing ever, and in the end Drogba stopped diving after that so it had the desired effect!

Vidic

Ray Wilkins :(

The Dan James incident is a funny one, I suspect he's been caught feigning injury and that Giggs has decided he'd rather admit that than have himself and his medical team hauled over the coals for letting a player who may have suffered head trauma continue.

Doesn’t matter, the «fit» and the shaking was still fake and funny as feck
Not sure the shaking was fake, I'm sure everyone has had a pain that's made them unable to sit/stand still, my guess is that studs thrust into your chest gives you that sort of pain.

Hilarious from our side though, the amount of luck Chelsea had against us during those years was infuriating.

This James debate is funny. I watched the replay and as someone who's been KOd on a couple of occasions (once while playing football) he was never unconscious and definitely took the opportunity to play it up.
Don’t you dare stand in the way of people doubling down.

He was never unconscious. He behaved like a bellend. That’s the bigger story.

Hmm this once was a great debate in caf.

Evans won the ball first, Drogba inviting the challenge from Evans, Evans deliberately put his legs once he thought he was in danger of getting bulldozed, and so on.

I always thought he is protecting himself from getting bulldozed. Made sense.

He kicks out at him though, clear as day!

Embellishing contact is also diving

But Giggs has messed up big time here, James will be branded a diver permanently now and struggle to get any calls in the future. Very, very stupid from Dan and Giggsy.
He gets at least 3 fouls or pens not given to him almost every game anyway so no change there then. Fully expect him to get subbed off on the weekend with one of Henderson's boots lodged in his knee while the ref says no contact.

Our best player today, kept pressing hard and had very good movement. If it were not for other players being selfish, he would have had some very good chances thanks to his runs.

He's been our best outfield player this season. By far.

What a gem we have signed. With better players around he will be putting up brilliant numbers.

Best player? He could have played Rashford in twice if he bothered looking.

MOTM for me. He's a brave little bastard ain't he? Quality ball in for the goal and he wasn't afraid to pick up the ball and take players on. Top class signing.

I just wanna take this opportunity to say feck Ryan Giggs.

The idea of DJ "acting" led to his own teammates not even playing the ball out after he'd been absolutely cleaned out.

He's fantastic.
Who was it in his transfer thread who said he wasn't good enough because of posts on a Swansea forum?

Poor little fecker is going to have his leg broken by the end of the season. Won’t get a free kick for it though.

Thought he was good, but as I said in the matchday thread, he will either lose his head once or become known as one of the biggest divers in the league. You can't look like you just lost your head and get up and run like crazy the next minute, and couple of times per game.

There was an opportunity to play a through ball to Rashford but decided to ran blindly. He needs to learn more about the game. Which is again to do with coaching but we don’t have a manager that coaches.

They were two huge hits tbf. Expecting someone to jump back up after both of those seems unfair.

Signing of the season for me. The pace, desire, passion is just ridiculous. Already my favorite.

Of course, I am not saying he wasn't hit, especially for the second situation. But even our players continued playing expecting him to get up thinking he was just pushing for a foul.

He should be protected more by the refs. With the speed he goes at, injuries are likely if teams are allowed to bulldozer him down like this with no consequences at all. Imo James is the best player in the team so far this season.

Thats because our players are stupid and obviously dont know the basics of a concussion and its consequences for example, otherwise they would have played out the ball. I only hope James wont get any concussion symptoms post-match, you cant be careful enough with concussions.

Great little player. Dynamite. Can he not be the first choice right winger? James and AWB on the right could make a decent partnership.

Don't understand sticking him on the left where's there's already loads of competition.

Thought he was excellent. Absolutely clattered twice. Workrate incredible. The speed of his run to create space for rashford to have a shot near the end summed him up. Also great cross. Well done lad

Didnt stop running as usual, despite being battered and bruised by Liverpool's centre backs.

His cross for Rashford's goal was inch perfect. Another good game from him!

I love this player. Worked very hard for the team and looks like our most creative player with the ball. If we're going to get out of the hole we are currently in, he's going to be a big part of that.

Fabinho s challenge on him was nasty but as usual he got away with it.

The Fabinho challenge and the lack of reaction from Atkinso is a direct result of the reputation he's developped of being a diver. I thought that was shocking from Atkinson. Referees should apologize to players when they get it wrong like that
