Why isn't haaland playing for norway? Injured?
yup

Depressing to think about the fact that we Wasted 2-0 against both Sweden and Romania at home. Win in one of those matches probably could have been enough to qualify.

If i am not wrong Norway can still qualify through playoffs? You might be in the same pot as Scotland so chances of qualifying are higher.

Congrats Finland! Take nothing away from them but how on earth did so many bad teams end up in group J?!

Yeah congrats Finland. Brilliant job.

Group didn't look easy for them on paper before it started. Bosnia & Herzegovina were the top ranked team from Group B of the Nation's league (that's how seeding were decided) only 2 places behind Germany. They won their group consisting of Ukraine, Denmark and Sweden. Greece are on a downwards trend, not much between them and Finland in the seeding but still one of the stronger teams in pot 4. Wouldn't call the group bad at all where you have 3 teams taking points of each other in 3rd-5th. Compare that to for example Group A-C where 2 of the 5 teams are doing nothing.

What are the odds for Argentina not making the next WC?
Even after the win tonight?

Messi says he'll continue until 2022 so he'll probably drag him over the line again like last time.

We are missing some ridiculous chances yet Italy are scoring from nothing, comical defending.

Young lad called Vargas playing for Swiss looks lively. Good feet and movement.

Switzerland finally scoring. Georgia had more chances in the 2nd half. Results are lining up as good as can be for Iceland.

League C playoffs all but confirmed:

Scotland vs. Bulgaria (no idea how, this is their worst team in decades)
Norway vs. Serbia (really feels like this should have been the final for this league, and not the semi. Winner of this will be strong favorites in the final match)

Sweden and Finland qualified. Neat. Bit of an embarrassing qualifying stage for Sweden though, if you can’t beat tinpot countries like Norway you have no business being in the Euros really.

How has Bulgaria qualified since they didn't win the group in nations league and also did terrible in the qualifiers?

They were the best second placed team in league C and take Finland's place who qualified directly.

Romania got more points though so why do they not get the spot? Or do they not count the points against the group winner?

One group in the league had only three teams so points against the last placed team in each group didn't count, which favored Bulgaria.

Alright tough for Romania tonight. Bulgaria has been so crap though in the qualifiers so would be funny if they manage to qualify. I think Norway will get it if I should guess.

Oi Suomi on!

What a day for Finland! Sure, we will get 0 points, but we will have one of best supports!

All of the home nations and ROI now guaranteed at least a play off place after last night's results.

After we demolish Northern Ireland tonight we will finally have qualified for a tournament again. Happy days. If we qualify directly we will also play all our group stage games in Amsterdam. Which is not as good as Rotterdam, but still pretty nice.

Don't be so sure, you struggled with them at home and in front of their home ground they're usually competitive.

This won't be an easy win at all I don't think.

So you're telling me there's a chance?

It'd be crap having games in Dublin and not being part of it.
Two chances even. Either beat Denmark at home or if they fail at that two games versus the likes of Bosnia, Slovakia/Wales and/or NIR.

Even if you qualify chances of playing a game in Dublin are very slim as I think the draw will be random. So a country hosting the tournament will likely not see their team play there anyway.

Why? They would get automatically assigned to the group which has games take place in Dublin (which is Spain's group btw).

Thought the groups will be setup so the opposite will happen?
Yep. People seem really confused about this, so here are the pairings:

Group A Italy - Azerbaijan (Eliminated)
Group B Russia - Denmark
Group C Netherlands -Romania
Group D England - Scotland
Group E Spain - Ireland
Group F Germany - Hungary

Young Angel Gomes provides 3x assists for all 3x goals and no mention?

Wrong thread?
