In my memories watching football since mid 90s, in term of dribbling: Brazillian Ronaldo, Ronaldino, Figo, Zidane

In term of shooting: Batistuta, Nedved, Diego Forlan, Scholes, C.Ronaldo, Lampard

In term of passing and general play: Carzola, Hoodle, Zidane, Maldini, Sneijder, Seedorf

Have soft spot for Kluivert and Saha, but can't be listed as best.

In term of slipping:

Oddly, on reading this thread title the one that popped into my head was Gordon Cowans. Brehme is a great shout and Cazorla is clearly the best in the EPL just now.

In set pieces, its Hernanes and its not even close imo.

Its weird since he's not that great of a player.

According to his autobiography Bobby Charlton spent a lot of time improving his weaker left foot, particularly under the tutelage of Jimmy Murphy. Might be an extra tick in Charltons column considering his ability wasn't 100% natural in this respect.

No, at least not in Ronaldos case. He could shoot just as well on the left as on the right but where he had a choice he would always go on to his right.
Errr?

He could also dribble perfectly well on his left side and pass with his left foot. Having a preference does not detract from his ability on the other side.

If we're only talking about players with zero preference, this thread will go down to about 20 more renowned players, past and present, with only the likes of Brehme, Nedved and Charlton from the past, or Sneijder and Cazorla qualifying.

"Two-footed" should surely mean players who can do what they want in a given situation (forced or otherwise) on either foot.

Out of the current players, Mkhitaryan is also quite two footed, he does a lot of long range shots and passes with his left foot. Transfermarkt also tracks how goals were scored (as in left/right foot, header, tap-in, penalty), incase you want to check a player.

I don't know about the best ever, but Harry Kane is two-footed. It's one reason why he scores a lot, since he doesn't have to try and shift the ball on to a favoured foot.

Isn't that what the thread is about? The best two footed players ever. 90% of the league can do whatever they want on either foot but only a handful are equally good on either side.

I feel like I'm always the guy bringing up Roberto Baggio in these threads! Beautifully balanced, devious and lethal off either foot, the Divine Ponytail has to be one of the best two footed players of my lifetime.

I was watching highlights of the '99 FA cup final, and something I didn't notice at the time is that Scholes' goal for 2-0 was a left footer.

He absolutely leathered it from 20 yards, too. Didn't think that he ever finished on his left.

He was a cracking player. Such a presence on the pitch.

Wasn't Nedved rather excellent with either? I can't even recall which was his stronger...

Seeing old United matches with Bobby Charlton he confused the shit out of me. He didn't seem to favour either leg, and took corners with both feet. I had to look up which foot he favoured because I just couldn't tell.

Been really bored with the lack of football so I'm watching back the Manchester United 2000 premier league goals video. Just got to the 03/04 season and seen Forlan take a left footed corner! I was sure he was right footed so I looked it up on Google and came across this thread. I'm pleased to see a few people have mentioned Forlans name and therefore I've learned something new.

Since nobody has replied to this thread for a few years I thought I'd bump to add Greenwood to the list!

Lubomir moravcik wins this in terms of who’s the best at using both feet. Zidane called him the best player he played against because of it.

What qualifies as being two footed?

I can shoot, cross and pass with my left foot but only in play with the ball moving I could never take a free-kick or a corner with my left.

I suppose a proper two footer can hit dead balls with either foot.

I didn't know Forlan was one

Nedved, and Ronaldo, comes to my mind, but Harry Kane, and our own Greenwood, are the ones that stick out now.

Not even close to the best obviously, at least for now, but Rayan Cherki is currently one of the most balanced players in terms of being almost as good with both feet in a myriad aspects of attacking play — from passing to dribbling to scoring...as well as contorting his body to surprise the opposition.

e.g.

Assist to Terrier and Dembélé with his right foot, and 2 goals with his left foot. Could've scored a third goal with his right foot, too!

This is also a good display of his ambidexterity/unpredictability, albeit at youth level — there are times when it half-feels like you're watching 2 different players (an inside right and an inside left)...

Surprised no one has mentioned Ballack. He had a mean shot with his left foot as well as right (goal v Liverpool in 2002, Czech Republic in Euro 2004). I think he was comfortable shooting with his left and wouldn't force himself to move to the right.

Gamst Pedersen was also doing this. Also capable of scoring with the "weakest" foot from 30 yards. But of course, he does not belong in a discussion of best two-footed players.

I always rated him when we played against Blackburn. Always thought his career should've taken off a bit more but I'm not really in a position to criticise whilst answering HR queries from my kitchen.
