Such a joke that the international games are not on terrestrial tv. Should be free for every England game, plus Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Typical England, face any half decent team competitively and we're fecking crap. Going nowhere with Southgate. He'll waste the opportunity next summer with this squad.

Let's be honest the CBs are really poor. Mings is a good player for my club but if you really pressure him he'll have a lapse and really wouldn't be in contention for even a squad place 10 years ago, same for Michael Keane.

Dier gets found out against any sort of movement and Maguire's had a difficult few months. Don't understand Walker going back into the 3 as he was weak link at world cup there

England are just as vulnerable playing back 4 but guess people just want to see them have a go at least.

Does seem there's been big regression in last year. I do still see England peaking at euros if they avoid serious injury e.g last 4 again.

Southgate is England’s Solskjaer.

He gave the nation an initial lift (an overrated one at that) and has been living off it ever since.

Being pragmatic at international level isn’t a bad thing. Lots of knockout games are won 1-0 or decided by a penalty shootout. However, he has enough talent at his disposal to make lighter work of certain opposition. Belgium are a very good side, so this sort of thing can happen. But he‘s not showing enough signs of being able to get the better of the elite nations. England will likely continue to come undone at around the QF/SF stage of tournaments.

A lack of evolution. He tries to copy other managers by copying their styles.

England badly need someone who can run in behind. Everyone wants it to feet.

Massive disparity in quality between England's attacking options and their defence/midfield.

It is odd. The solution to us having poor centre backs is to... play with 3 of them?

I'm also still not sure why Kieran Trippier is still a thing in 2020.

Southgate played similar vs Belgium initial game
England weren't good yet somehow won

That justified him which he played next game and they lost (I think)
And he's doing it again

So much attacking talent and plays only 2

I really do hate Southgate. Definition of a fraud. Strange to see so many crap to bang average managers in charge of big teams.

Where the grass is greener.
I just can't get my head around how laughably negative he is. We should be making team afraid of us with our attacking talent, yet we present ourselves like pathetic little underdog slugs.

Henderson being further forward than Kane for that ball over the top is just wrong to me.
You have so much talent, you dont need Kane that far deep.

If England aren't playing with 3 of Kane Sterling Sancho Rashford then it's a bit of a chore.

3 of them with Grealish AM you'd have a lot of fun.

The sad thing is it takes us doing shit in a tournament to get a manager sacked. And by that time our players are 2-4 years older at every tournament anyway.

Our FA just dont care and cant see a shit manager.

A thing I hate about modern day footballers is when strikers are in all the areas of the field besides from the areas that they are most likely to score a goal.

Remember when we used to praise Rooney for tracking back and getting in his own box? Or when strikers go out onto the wing or drop onto the halfway line to get the ball.

Imo, a striker appearing in those positions is not a strength of the striker, but rather a failure of the rest of the team. If the defenders and midfielders were doing their jobs, a striker would and should never need to go into those positions. How can you score a goal if you're at the halfway line or dropping deep to get the ball? It's completely nonsense.
