What an absolute sickener that Ronaldo over Bruno decision was. Instead of being just inside the top 100k would be up about 30k. For the -4 I took to bring Ronnie in I'll likely need another to take him out. Fernandes would have been a straight swap. Has probably cost 50 points

People laughed at us who did early transfer last time and got in Maddison.

Guess what, the rank I lost due to not having Bruno is the same as the rank I gained from having Maddison.

Early transfer is the real pro move. Do it.
Actually Leeds are ravaged by injuries. I reckon a single covid case could be enough to get their game called off if the PL haven't changed the rules by then.

Will wait until 30 mins before deadline. Rolling isn't the worst thing to do this week either.

Surely the early move is anything but pro this season!

This is it isn't it.
Bruno was a -4, Ronaldo was a -8. And Bruno allowed a seamless switch back to Salah too.

But Ronaldo could have smashed it. That was the risk, and we covered it!!

My current team:

DDG
TAA, Cancelo, Tierney
Raphinha, Jota, Bruno, Bowen
Antonio, Ronaldo, King

Subs: Foster, Gray, Keane, Livramento

If the expected Villa double gets announced, Keane is going out for Digne (and Antonio to the bench).

If nothing is announced, do I:

Roll transfer and be in a position to get Salah back without a hit later?

Or Swap Bruno to one of Foden or KDB?

Roll and wait for the return of the King. Pep will leave you in tears.

Yeah, i think i'll do that if Villa don't double. It's so much more interesting without Salah in the game. Hopefully next year they make the cnut £14m and label him a striker so it's not worth having him

Don't know what I was thinking. Had even read just before there was doubts over Ronaldo and that Mount was needin to be rested and went ahead and brought both of them in. Didn't like the moves at the time and certainly don't like them now. Very tempted to transfer both straight out again to try and right the wrongs but more pressing issues in defence including having 2 more United players I don't want

Do we think Arsenal will play? Burnley players back? Really tempted with Tierney. I can cover the first blank well.

Second blank I either need to take Salah out for a week or sell Tierney.

Burnley will lick every pole they can find but hopefully it won't be enough and they are forced to play and get their asses beat into the relegation zone.

Torn between the following (1FT):
Gray > Raphina
Alonso > Digne
Roll a transfer
Bruno >KdB

Ranked roughly in my current preference. Will wait for news tomorrow, the Digne transfer will probably go to the top if they double.

Somehow I still have Jesus and he isn't on the transfer agenda this week.

Well your Chelsea players need to be dropped fairly soonish... I'm not overly sure they'll fully contain Spurs so I'm leaning with dropping Rudiger this week ----> Coady or Digne or whoever. Tomorrow of course ;)

Assume that's outside of wildcards? We often make more than 20 changes in those.

But who ever makes a legit 20 transfers in a week?!

Bruno or Roden for the captaincy? Tough call as Foden can explode VS Southampton but his status with in the team is unclear. The westham game will be very open which can suit Bruno very well.

I was going to roll a transfer but I’m super tempted to take Moura out for Foden. It’ll mean that next week I can only get back to Salah by taking out Bruno, or do a -4 to remove Ronaldo and replace Jota with Salah.

I don’t really want to have both Bruno and Ronaldo anyway, but I’d feel so stupid if he hit some form against those easier teams.

I'm still not really confident about ourselves. We all captained our players in a dgw but city are flat out far superior and are gonna press on the killer blow for the league in this coming run so that they are far ahead during cl later stages. If you have a city player that's a better call.

United and West ham are very even. Their attack is in form. We got opened up by Brentford so many times. So that game can go either way and it's difficult to predict.

If Villa and Leeds DGWs were announced tomorrow I'd be quite tempted to wildcard.

It would allow me to bring in triple Villa, triple City and Raphinha (along with a few other changes) while getting rid of players I'm quite happy to ditch anyway like Alonso, Mount, Diop, Normann and Ronaldo. It would also be quite easy to set up to bring Salah in in one move the following week, or even include him immediately in the wildcard and just bench him this week for fifth mid Ramsay who would have a double.

What makes it tempting is the fact that Villa and City in particular have excellent fixtures anyway, so even without the DGW I'd be very happy to be tripled on both immediately. And having them and Salah in place straight away would allow me to spend fts elsewhere while others are using theirs or taking hits for the exact same players over the next few weeks. Because I can't see a scenario where people aren't going to want Villa, City and Salah over the coming weeks, so jumping in ahead of the curve makes some sense to me.

Plus having already used my BB, I have have less need to hold the wildcard until later in the season than others do as I won't be trying to use it to set up a BB at any point. With two free hits still available and no need to have 15 players geared towards any one gameweek for the rest of the season, it should be relatively easy to negotiate subsequent blanks/DGWs without a wildcard I think.

Really the main thing putting me off is the extended gap between this GW and next.

Maddison or Bowen?

Was tempted to side with Maddison due to the 3 extra games Leicester have, but no idea when they will be played.

Looks like something might get announced later this morning

If Burnley have a double I'll still probably end up leaving Lowton on the bench

Also if Leeds get a double then be aware Raphinha is in the Brazil squad and they play on the 27th Jan and the 1st Feb.

If these DGWs get announced I'd be very tempted to bring in Digne and Raphinha (for a -4). Already have Watkins.

If it's Villa, Leeds, Burnley and Watford I already have Watkins, Cash, Lowton and Dennis. I'd probably have to cover myself and bring in Raphinha as well depending on when the fixture is played. Also Leeds and Burnley are still in the red zone for getting games called off.
