Just so you're all aware. Making it bold so everyone doesn't miss it.

There is a short post credit scene.
Oh, I had just assumed that. I thought you were hinting that it would be hinting at
that Luthen is a Jedi. The popular [edit:Screencrush] YouTuber did a thing on it recently if you’re into that sort of thing.

This was a masterclass on incorporating music: both the touch of the intro gradually increasing in intensity each episode and the funeral march in the finale. Just a brilliant show overall, I can’t say enough positive things about it…9/10

fecking brilliant, just so so good. By far the best Star Wars content Disney has done along with Rogue One - which I loved - and I think I loved this even more. Everything about it was perfect. It’s brilliant for a science fiction series, the fact it’s Star Wars too, just makes it epic. Absolutely fecking loved it. Feels like a proper grown up show. Great acting, score, characters. Just can’t say enough good things about this. 10/10.

I have to also say the “I can’t swim” moment at the end of episode 10 was brilliant and heartbreaking. So many epic moments. Love, love, love this.

Confirms most of the theories that were going around regarding that.
saw this post before seeing the episode and assumed the worst - that an important character is going to be a force user. thank god it wasn't that, would have spoilt the show a bit imo.

Pariah show with decent writing being better than 95% current SW garbage says more about Star Wars itself than Andor tbh.

If Andy Serkis makes it further, couldn't be more assured about season two.

Luthen turning out to be a Jedi would be a terrible bit of writing, IMO. This show hasn't needed one, and it definitely shouldn't be him. It would just cheapen everything, somehow.

I thought it was semi confirmed. He has a lightsaber : /
Thought it was disappointing when i saw that, though i suppose they could fudge it in some way, just hanging onto it for a friend kind of deal.

I'm not really sure he has a lightsaber, but I'm definitely sure that having a lightsaber doesn't make anyone a jedi.
It looked like a lightsaber. Maybe they're just messing with us in the most boring, lazy manner possible in an otherwise good show.

Binged watched it all yesterday. What an amazing show. Slow paced and didnt even feel bored once watching it. I still couldn't believe it was star wars because it didn't even feel like it. The writing and story was way to good for it. They've always been very plain in story telling and writing. But this has raised the bar high. For a show no one wanted, now I can't wait for Season 2. Fecking loved this show. I'd definitely would love to see a more political star wars. Mon Mothra scenes were great. Never seen star wars like this and it was very refreshing

Some people think he was part of the academy and left for some reason but never became a fully fledged Jedi.

Depends, what you think SW should be. There will be purists that think the Jedi should always feature in Star Wars, but given the scope of material at offer in Star Wars IP I don't think you need them personally.

The Rebellion and the Empire are just as important as the Jedi in my opinion and I think they've really excelled in it's portrayal of both so far.
Who are these people and are they 12?

Just watched the last episode. Brilliantly done and ended. Absolutely cracking. Such good characters and well written. Anyone know when the next series is out? Hopefully they’ll do more.

Best Star Wars stuff Disney has made period. Absolutely nailed it, pacing, characters and writing. The Empire locking up people and throwing away the key for no reason was brilliant on so many levels. Two years for the next one seems a bit long but I hope they have something brilliant planned for the second one.

I think one of its standout attributes is its dealing with the difficult decisions that the rebels have to make. From Mon Mothma swallowing her pride and allowing her daughter to be introduced to a boy whose father she clearly has contempt for in order to cover her financial tracks, to Luthen allowing the Empire to intercept a rebel mission, knowing that everyone will die, the show doesn't shy away from the Hobson's choices that the embryonic rebellion leaders have to face. We're used to goodies being goodies and baddies being baddies in the Star Wars universe, so it's refreshing to see some grey instead of just black and white.

Two things. Firstly no idea how anyone just falls asleep in the middle of something, but maybe I’m just jealous I can’t nap.

Secondly don’t force it if it’s not for you.

If you fall asleep during the finale of a show, I think that show just isn't your kind of thing. They're doing everything they can do bring up the tension at that point.

Watching it at the end of a 18 hour day probably isnt the best idea. Especially under a throw on a chaise.

I find it alittle too slow for me personally, but glad there is space in ST universe for stories that dont involve lightsabers, sith/jedi and the force.

Phantastic show! I was on my way out regarding the franchise (format of the otherwise decent Mandalorian didn‘t do it for me) but this was a great ride. Could have had a tad more aliens though.

Finally finished Andor. I think im on the other side of the fence to others on here. Found it very boring and too slow paced. Not as bad as Boba Fett.

Mandolorian was fantastic and loved that. Andor not so much.

Fantastic show, really what Star Wars should be.

From the characters, the way they develop and have to make life changing decisions, to the actors, the story, the dialogues, the actions sequences this is the best Star Wars I've seen for a while. Maybe a little better than Mandalorian because the episodes are longer and it has many characters and a more complex story.

Bit late to the party but just finished this. Generally thought it was excellent. Only niggle is Luthen, a man who hides his priceless identity with...a wig... turning up in Empire central to personally oversee Andor's assassination. Because his identity must remain hidden. Despite already having 2 other assassins there. Am I missing something?!

This was amazing, really enjoyed it.

The part where Luthen was in the tractor beam and just made an absolute show of the imperial cruiser was brilliant

His presence did seem a bit pointless, I got the impression the writers put him there so he could witness an organic rebellion in action.

Yeah, did seem like the writers wanted him there and didn't really consider the logic of it. Minor quibble though in a really good show.

He did have a personal stake in the matter so I guess from his perspective he wanted to ensure the job was done. But yeah, did seem a little bit of a stretch.

Really hope all Star Wars stuff is this good going forward. Everything about it is awesome. Hope the weird incel nazi dude has a bit more to do in the finale. I like him :wenger:
I thought you said inbred and I thought to myself I must not have paid attention to his scenes with his mom close enough. I really enjoyed this show, much better than it had any right to be. Great writing, great acting, great dialogue, looks fantastic, and it kept me interested from episode 2 on (I watched the first ep a few months back and didn't care to watch more, but the reviews in here made me give it another go).

And yes, that Bix Caleen actress is distractingly pretty.

Yeah, he was there to make sure Andor was killed. Perhaps didn't think the other two could do it on their own?

I would imagine the writers wanted him there so he could witness maarva's speech first hand. And to have that scene with Andor at the end.

Just watched all of this over the past week after finding Boba Fett and Obi Wan really poor.

Hooooly shit, it’s so good. Even if it was nothing to do with Star Wars, it’d be so good. It actually felt more Blade Runner than Star Wars to me at times which I think is testament to how adult they managed to make the whole thing.

the prison episodes were comfortably the best, loved the themes. Hopefully Andy Serkis comes back, somehow.

And Jesus, is Adria Arjona the most beautiful woman on the planet?
