Alonso would be a long-term disaster for us.
I don't quite understand this logic as I would assume EPL fans would like the best managers ply their trade in the league. Alonso shows a lot of potential to be a great tactician as a coach. More competition the better for the league. There are many great coaches out there if Utd is not happy with ETH and decide to move on anyway.

Nagelsmann will be available no matter how the Euros go, he has a contract only for that tournament and it looks like he wants to go back to club football after that. That he took over Germany just is a special situation and not intented to be a long term solution.

The manager who takes over for Klopp will struggle, I think. Now I don't have any really good data on that, but there are at least a number of examples over time that indicate that the next man in after a big/successful manager gets himself into trouble.
They might as well get Stevie G in and get that situation out of the world.

What happens this season is build on the foundation he built last season under very different circumstances.

Pep isnt a genius that why he only joins teams that are already at the top domestically and have huge transfer budgets, Pep inherited a side that had just reached the UCL Semi's and was given a virtually unlimited transfer budget so if he was such a genius it would not have taken him as long as it did to win the UCL.
Managers like Klopp and Sir Alex should never be compated with Pep as they started from the bottom and earnt their way to the top of the game while Pep has been gifted his basically been gifted his place at the top of the game with a silver spoon.
