Have they said anywhere what the supposed inappropriate behaviour is?

Not yet, which is interesting in itself.

Maybe he slapped Helmut's ass, and that's why they've been so fractious lately.
I listened to a pod cast from the journalist at De Telegraaf that broke the news, although they didn’t mention the details, they said the allegations are extremely serious and that he has seen evidence.

he’s always been a monumental prick. it would be interesting to see him removed from his post and have a barometer as to how much of red bull’s success was due to him or in spite of him.

Couldn't of happened to a nicer guy.

Obviously hope the victim of his behaviour is ok but I will take huge pleasure in seeing the downfall of this cnut.

In the Telegraaf he said he heard there is proof but hadn't seen it himself. But of course the allegations are serious as they always are in such a case.

Proof of what though? Someone recorded him bullying them? He groped someone on cctv?

Former sounds pretty plausible in fairness.

If the reports are true about him being advised to resign then I would say he's fecked and Red Bull know it.

What an embarrassingly basic-brained way to torch your career, if true.

Probably don’t want to be a complete diddler and have the name Horner.

The hatred for Horner is always so funny to see here. Obviously misconduct needs to be investigated but you d think he did something to some of you personally. Take a breather. If there is one thing I learned in all my years of dealing with high level personnel issues is that I never judge early, and even after 99% of people will never get to see the full detail of an investigation. Having said that - the only real prick thing I can see with him is primarily the personal relationship thing between his marriages but I try not to judge personal lives unless it directly hurts the workplace.

Do you one more: every organization has people who are investigated that will never see the light of day. Only in cases like this do we hear about it because it sells and it's a highly visible position in a company that has to protect its brand. I have dealt with people who literally committed manslaughter, drug trade, sex trafficking etc who still were able to maintain their job. I wish it wouldn't just be guys like Horner that get caught out.

On another note: Max going to Merc in 25 would be a cool bit of extra spice to come from this.

Cult of personality stuff as usual.

A lot of people in the higher echelons of F1 are shit stains. From Bernie and Mosley through the upper managements of most of the teams most of the time. Likes of Vowles and Binotto are the exceptions and that's because they're engineers. And sadly the game usually chews them up.

it’s possible that he just sent a picture of himself to her and all she saw was a massive dick.

This could turn into a repeat of the Greenwood thread by the looks of it. If he's done anything inappropriate he should be dumped out and never seen again in F1 without a seconds thought.

Let's wait and see the result of the investigation though.

Imagine being in a team with Helmut Marko and you end up being the bigger cnut. Some achievement that.

Sent inappropriate and unsolicited pictures to an employee supposedly. (According to twitter)
Poor Max.

This sort of thing is rife in F1. Half the paddock is embroiled in one affair or another, not much of a stretch to see one of them has pushed it too far.

He's probably sending tea set links to Penelope and eracing results screenshots to Kelly wondering what is wrong with people

But yeah I don't doubt this kind of shit is super prevalent in a group as tightly knit as F1. People become too comfortable.

I'm just rubbing my hands at a potential prospect of Max and George in the same team. Would be brutal between those two and Toto would have a tough time playing favorite bc he clearly loves George like a son almost, but is also enamored with Max and tried to get him to Merc before. For a sport with as relatively little players F1 sure has a lot of drama.

As a Williams fan I have a lot of respect for Vowles. Seem like a really nice genuine person.

Surely Max would be staying and Red Bull will get someone else in very good to run the team. Not sure I get the logic of several mentions of Max jumping ship to Merc after this Horner news.

I mean sure, if the Red Bull cycle ends, Newey leaves and Merc get back to the top in a few years.

Max could jump ship to Mercedes for 2026 if he feels like RB power trains are fecking up. Obviously no chance before then.

Wonder if they could get Brawn out of retirement to replace Horner if he goes. Not many people around within F1 IMO.

There’s no way Max is jumping ship whilst Newey is still around, it’s like having a cheat code when you have got him sat in the factory drawing up your next upgrade.

I don’t think it’s any secret that max is much closer to newey and marko than to Horner.

Yes I think so too.

What could make the dominoes fall is Newey leaving if maybe Horner his old pal leaves. Newey did try to retire but came back if I recall and has since posted some regret at not working at Ferrari and with other top drivers so perhaps he could have a chance before he's too old and go to Ferrari.

Will be interesting to see how this all plays out. Would be good to see the back of him, as he appears to be so unlikable. I don't think it would actually change anything at Redbull though, nor push Max to make a decision either way. As long as they can develop the best car, Max isn't going anywhere.

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) is conducting an audit of the 2022 edition of the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix, following allegations of corruption against former transport minister S. Iswaran.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) is also reviewing the terms of the deal between STB and Singapore GP to organise the F1 night race here, to safeguard Singapore’s interest, said Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations Grace Fu in Parliament on Feb 5.
