Ending a great day with 10 BPs on a downer. At least Haaland's effective ownership is something stupid at the top.

Pretty sure all my competitors tripled the cyborg this week, as did yours. Nothing to worry about.

Haaland on non league mode today. Could easily have had a hattrick.

Even that 95th min handball could have been given for a pen..though you wouldn't have backed him today.
It wasn't a bad choice going into the week because he couldn't finish his dinner today. Most days he'd get a couple with those chances.

Thought they didn't give assists for blocked shots falling to players these days?
Some nonsense about it has to be the intended target etc.
I thought so to. But i think they might give it for blocked shots and not for passes that someone else touches. Martinelli did not get an assist earlier today, but this seems to be given. Who knows how they decide these things, some of them might have Walker.

Yeah it must be that blocks are classed the same as saves by the keeper. If the keeper made the same block as the defender it would be an assist so it makes sense.

I can see a case of selling Haaland for Toney with those two and funding Salah with Kdb and/or Son. But very high risk.
I might actually do this if he keeps going at less than a goal contribution a game. Not worth it in that case, Salah + an upgrade would be better. Also the commentator said he's only scored in one out of his last seven appearances?

That's batshit crazy to give that as a walker assist.
Takes a deflection before getting to Rodri and takes a deflection after Rodri shot and it's somehow an assist. Joke.

Rules suggest that if you make a pass/cross/etc and an opponent materially alters direction of the ball… no assist.

But if you shoot, hits an opponent and rebounds to a teammate… assist.

Seems silly to have two semi rules because you’re always going to get “was that a cross or a shot?”
I agree it's silly but you can't complain when it's already laid out as the rule and I say that as someone who suffers a lot in my cash leagues for that assist.

Great day overall despite the TC blank. Especially with the DGW failures.

People took -4s and -8s to bring in the likes of Kevin De Blank and Virgil Blank Dyk. Going into this GW with no hits and team set up for next gw without hits as well is a decent position to be in.

Tbf this is a classic fpl dgw. All the TC options blanking or getting injured and the single gw players hauling. Thankfully I kept a couple of them. I leave you with these 3 songs that some my mood up...

What's with all the potential price changes tonight?

Are people really bringing in Robertson and Salah now?
Of course they are. This thread is an outlier. Most people just check who scored the most points and bring them in. And to be fair to them they probably are much happier with it.

Those transfers are mainly done before the deadline.

Gw27 WC gathering steam with Salah returning and smashing it. Even with the blank in 29 ain't no way we go without him if he looks great in the second game and the cup. Let's hope the cup throws a few games into that blank and make this viable. Also better to get the BB out of the way in 28.

Or be brave and swap for kdb or Haaland (got a tough run coming up)? :nervous:

Anyone considering ditching KDB? Too many midfielders to own with Salah, Foden, Saka, Richarlison, Gordon, Palmer and Garnacho all of interest. Some are penalty takers, more of a goal threat or playing out of position up front
Yes, absolutely. I suspect kdb for Salah will be the move for many. I wouldn't be surprised to see Haaland disappear from a few teams too, to help fund that.

A big reason for owning premiums is for captaincy, that's where the value is. Will you ever Captain KDB when Haaland is in the same match? Unlikely.

Don't think I agree. Salah has upcoming: blank, Forrest, City and blank. That's one good fixture in 4 game weeks... I'm bringing him in my GW30 WC.

He smashes City for fun and that will be a huge title game. Expect Mo to be up for that. Forest are gash as well. It's obviously not just that but it will be a trigger based on his form and also the cup results. There are a lot who will dead end their teams in 26 and just set it up for rest of the season in 27. Or just go WC/BB/FH in 27/28/29. Completely depends on how 29 and 34 look which we will know before 27.

Also this will feck people who have been picking players based on 29 and leaving points in short term thinking football will happen according to what Ben Crellin says.

You can have one of Kev or Son along with Mo and Erling. Kev to Son will be popular for those who have him now for the double.

I didn't TC Haaland so it is funny seeing him blank.

But he will definitely score against Brentford.
