That was a fecking amazing first interview.

I could cry!

Also he is totally trolling now based on this quote and the colour scheme selection.
Of course he was. They were being cnuts first with all their sock puppet accounts on social media during the sale. Elon could certainly learn alot from him on the dark arts.

Feels like I could actually love our owner now. He really seems to get it.

That's a brilliant, brilliant interview. He was challenged and had answers for everything. He has a bit of a swagger about him, but it all seems grounded in the size of the challenge.

I very much enjoyed the North v South shithousing.

My only worry now is that cough...

This quote really is something. Really does make you wonder what exactly was going on with all of that.

Whose representatives were the ones who came to Old Trafford?
Didn't someone say somewhere that "Jassim" has an actual job on the board of some bank?
Did Raine not establish at some point that he actually existed?

Who was behind it all in that case? I'm still not inclined to think it was the Qatar royal family because if it was them I don't think they would have pulled out over money, so who exactly was actually behind that bid? Assuming that bid even actually existed?
The Qatari state would've gotten away with it if it weren't for us meddling kids....

This is the way it should always be
We're taking the Barcelona model. I like it, as we would know what should be expected from the manager rather than a new manager seemingly teaching us what to expect in regard to the football. I think there is no doubt that the manager will now be taking a bit of a backseat moving forwards. Those quotes were quite clear. They DOF and recruiters determine the player profiles by they type of football discussed by the club, not the manager. His job is simply to deliver what they want on the pitch. This isn't a crew that will be scared of sacking a manager due to optics. I like that, it shows they have direction.

Great first interview from Ratcliffe. He said what we all want to hear but now he has to deliver…. He’s a fan just like all of us after all.

Really impressed with Ratcliffe so far. Obviously it's easy to talk the talk, but early signs show he's capable of backing it up by his start to the rebuild of the football structure.

I like that he acknowledges the environment at the club is a big issue, as well as needing not just great players but the right personalities and mentalities.

He and his team are absolutely no mugs. I'm confident they'll do everything within their power to get us back to the top, while also being realistic about the fact that will take several years. It's unfortunate we'll be a bit handicapped financially for a while due to the abysmal management of past managers, Woodward, Murtough and Ten Hag.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
Ratcliffe said Glazers love the club and football very much.
What did you expect him to say… “I’m amazed the goblin looking feckwits sold any shares to me based on their history, the greedy stupid leeching w@nkers”?

He mentions having to be patient and play the long game in the interview. This is just a continuation of that.

His aim is majority ownership, better staff in key positions, better football results, a better ground, trophies, all round success. Step by step, he’ll get there… and I’m going to love every bit of it.

Hopefully it's possession football and not counter attack shit we've had for so long
Really? I hope for a fast attacking, high pressing style. End to end, high risk, high reward. I don't necessarily want us to be as dominant as the great Guardialo-Teams, but I want us to be as exciting as the great Fergie-Teams.

The interview was great, is it a bit too good to be true?

In particular I like the consistent playing style comments.

I hope we just sell Mason Greenwood, mind.

I didn't expect anything. I was just making a statement about what he said.

Has he mentioned anything about putting the match day startling line up in positional order rather than the current shit show numerical order?
:lol: If he'd have mentioned this and made it one of his top priorities that would've secured legend status already in my eyes. Never mind stadiums and regeneration of the area, as an armchair fan this is the kind of change I want to see.

I’m right behind Erik, I don’t get all the negativity around him and I think he deserves time to build - but does he strike you as a guy who will be dictated to from above? Will he do something he doesn’t believe in? I’m not so sure.
I think he genuinely welcomes the changes. You can’t be really successful without the modern setup. Ajax are way more organised than us and he thrived with them.

I don’t see him as a manager who can’t adjust and adapt. Time will show if it’s a match or not.

I love the interview. We have lacked that glamour since Ronaldo left. The first time he left.

At the end of the day it just feels fantastic to have people running the club for the benefit of Manchester United rather than Manchester United being run for their benefit.

As a United fan who has been ground down so much by the Glazer ownership, this is all sounding just too good to be true.

So do they now tell the manager what style they want to play and the manager has to play that style or he’s out?
It’ll be more that they hire a manager who is going to coach that style of play. It’s not about forcing the manager to do something they don’t want to do, everyone should believe in the same principles.

Yes really. You want games to be end to end?

First of all its not the Qatari fault that Ratcliffe kept changing the goal posts from the entirety of the club to 51 to a minority shareholder which in turn irked the average fan. Secondly most of the fans are pro SJR bid at this point or at least are taking a wait and see approach. Its not as if there are protests against him or INEOS. Finally he better be careful about his gloating. In 18 months time a huge bid can come from Qatar for the entirety of the club and unless he matches it then he might easily find himself forced to sell. Maybe that's the plan all along.

Quite frankly I wish him all the luck in the world and I am loving what he's doing. However I am not comfortable with Jassim's jabs especially since they came just after kissing Glazers arse. Ultimately we're in this sorry state not because of Jassim.
That "huge" bid was asked for by the Glazers this time round and it never arrived, they had ample enough chances but failed to deliver.

If it arrives in the future, it will be only because of one thing happening, United becoming successful again and yep that's right, it'll be because SJR has sorted the club out from top to bottom properly.

At the end of the day football is entertainment. Of course you have to control most of the games if you want to win things. But I'd rather control the space via great pressing and being able to hit the opponent any moment with fast attacking play than having 65% of the ball every game. Even if it's a bit less promising.

But I guess it's just a matter of taste. Maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic, but this kind of football is the reason I started to watch the premier league.

He is personally taking over the Twitter account and will be posting the lineups himself, from his phone

Yeah, he's not going anywhere unless we completely implode over the next two months.
I think just about everybody, whether 'in' or 'out', acknowledges that by now. The big question is what happens after.

Brilliant interview, answered all questions as honestly as he could. Obviously a very smart man who knows what he wants and is genuinely excited to have the opportunity to get us back to the top.Exciting times.
