Depends on your strategy and if you're FH in GW29.

II would make sure to have maybe 3 this week of Neto/Solanke/Morris/Doughty. That should cover you.
Thanks and no, wasn’t planning to FH in 29. But am having second thoughts.
I wouldn't take hits for Bournemouth or Lu-on players if you can field 11 already.

I'm looking at having 2 defenders and Alvarez at Anfield, so might actually take a -4.
Areola
Cash Estupidman Gabriel
Foden Gross D.Luiz Bowen
Alvarez Haaland Watkins

5/6 for 29 so far. Will definitely pick one Luton player (prob Alvarez to Morris) with my one FT as DGW this week and plays in 29.

Just not sure if should go -4 and get Solanke or even -8 for Solanke and a second Luton player (7/8 in 29). Go big or go home?

Team B, I’m thinking of going bigger (just to go against the herd).

Areola
Gabriel Saliba Estu
Palmer KdB Gross D.Luiz Garnacho
Ahaland Watkins

Turner, Cash, Ake, Darwin.

Have 2 FTs and £5.4m… thinking of a -4 and doing Turner/Ake/Darwin to Neto/Doughty/Solanke.

And….. BB :nervous:

Team locked in, just got to hope Solanke is alright.

Neto
Gabriel Saliba Doughty
Saka Foden Palmer Douglas Luiz
Watkins Toney Solanke (c)

Free hit next week then winging it. Not sure about bringing Haaland back, might just bulk up the midfield for the rest of the season and continue with those 3 up top. Got TAA benched too, may cash in on him too to facilitate that.

Toney's form in the next 1-3 weeks could dictate things. I'd rather he blanks this week for obvious reasons. After that fixtures look decent for Brentford until the end of the season apart from Villa away in 32. United, Brighton and Newcastle at home, none of us with great defences away from home plus fixtures vs. bottom half teams including Burnley, Sheff Utd, Everton and Luton and Bournemouth.

Surely there's other people who are going Morris > Solanke? Just feels like the safer pick and with higher upside imo.

The shit forest keeper?

The deal is he's shit.
I'm planning to bench boost, and I haven't been able to get him off, there was always some other priority transfer done prior to him, as he was a low priority. If he doesn't play, I'm kinda stuck. So just considering if it's worth it going -4 for Neto and his DGW, and bench boost at the same time, if he doesn't play.

Who am I benching out of this?

Saka BRE H
Foden LIV A
Son AVL A
Palmer NEW H
Gordon CHE A
Haaland LIV A
Watkins TOT H
Solanke SHU H, LUT H

Currently it's Foden but that feels like it could go disastrously
I got Gordon on my bench

Turner won't play. They signed Sels in January and he's done okay.

At least before the pain we'll have that brief moment when the game loads back up and we have a full playing team in 29. Cherish that before half of them get injured.

Looking forward to see all your “I dont have a wildcard meltdown”’s around gw36+37
WC is meant to set you for mid/long term. I think using it that late is short sighted. Most of the teams doubling in GW37 are the big hitters so I should be ok. Will only run into an issue if the league is wrapped up by then.

All depends on the team you go into gw28 with I guess, but from the WC team I saw on last page I’d say there’ll be a lot of transfers to also get a good BB team in gw37 and just get the main big hitters in.

Id say many wildcarding now will need the big players + Palmer, Newcastle players, Spurs for the last four and two games. Time will tell.

Well. Don't think anyone else in my mini leagues has gone for this strategy. Guy behind me must be free hitting next week as he's only got 3 Villa players.

Oh of course it's team dependent. I only committed to WC after the Hwang blunder, without that, I would have saved WC & FH for later but whatever, can't regret it now.

Same. This'll be a make or break moment for my season. Currently comfortable in the top 100k, but might as well play big balls move at this stage and try get a top 50k.

Benched Palmer for Garnacho right before the deadline. Palmer can still end up being the better choice but feels good betting on a differential and getting an early vindication.

Went Morris for Haaland and Son for Gordon last minute. I have a good gao in my ML, so I thought let's see if I can finish off any resistance early.

FH next week and then WC in 30, ideally 31 if I can hold out.
