If they won the league, would they be one of the worst winners in recent history?

Their record against the top 6 is pretty poor. Failed to beat Utd, Arsenal and City at home. Lost to Arsenal and Tottenham away. Only managed to win against Villa at home.

Would this potential Liverpool title as well as their last one be the two most impressive league titles in football history as they did it against a cheat code and not a normal team?

Sadly I do think they'll win it tbh but still hoping Arsenal or City can just go on an insane run to pip them to it.

Got to pray they don't win the FA Cup and Europa League as well.

That would be a rough outcome for United fans if they win every competition they are in. Still a long way to go of course so hopefully they hit some bad form.

Looking at the fixture list now for all teams, Liverpool barely have any difficult matches left. I think this was City's last chance to get ahead of Liverpool and they failed. People will bring up Everton and United as potential difficult matches, but those people have never seen United or Everton play this season.

They won’t win the league but their last victory would be in contention for sure.

Similarly, so would our campaign were we to win this season. Anybody beating this City regime deserves massive credit.

Neither of the two are anywhere close to Leicester though. I don’t care about the relative strength of the league at the time, it was still ridiculous that they pulled that off.

Liverpool dropped points away to mediocre United and Everton teams in past title races against City, that ended up costing them those trophies. Both teams will treat the Liverpool fixture like a cup final.

I seem to remember one game where United players kept going off injured and still managed a draw. Form is irrelevant.

No, their record against top-5 is better than City. City has 0 win against top-5.

City had 2 losses against Villa and Arsenal, and 3 draws with Tottenham & Liverpool.
Liverpool had 1 win against Villa, 2 losses against Arsenal & Tottenham, and 3 draws with Arsenal & City.

They have been poor in so many games this season, but have managed to pull out victories. That, the good fortune and the fact they have an easy run in now indicates they will most likely win the league, unfortunately.

Well, they're getting every marginal decision in the run-in after yesterday. The media outrage on their behalf today is absurd.

I will happily take either Liverpool or Arsenal over the dirty oil money funded "potential cheaters".
My preference would be Arsenal but would be happy for Jurgen to finish up on a high note.

Have these mentality monsters won any big games this season?

Drawn both vs City
Loss and draw vs Arsenal
Loss and a draw vs Man Utd
Loss vs Spurs
2 draws in the league vs Chelsea, and a win in the 119th minute in the Carabao cup

Edit: They beat Arsenal in the FA Cup at home and beat Chelsea in the league at home.

If we beat Spurs and Utd in our next fixtures I'll be more than happy.

You haven't won any big games away this season.

You'll probably win the Spurs game at Anfield though.

They beat Arsenal in their first FA Cup game this season. But other than that, no.

We've got to break that duck at some point. How many cup finals can you turn up to against us in one season? Mentally draining. Ironically the most important of our 3 fixtures is the league game in a month's time. That's the one that will kill Utd fans the most if they don't hold off Pool.

I said before the game that I'd rather us win the cup game than the league fixture so we had something to look forward to near the end of the season. If we had lost on Sunday, it would've stifled any momentum we had in the race for CL football.

If you beat us at OT in April then it certainly won't 'kill' us. The way the league table currently stands, a win might not be enough to send you top anyway.

Cup finals? The only 'cup' final-esque game was the one we won on Sunday. The league game was hardly a cup final for us - getting any result there after last season was a success, and you guys were impotent.

The league game at OT has a lot more riding on it for you than for us.

They just look like title winners to me. Arsenal should be kicking themselves if they allow this Liverpool to finish ahead of them.
