Look forward to the inevitable 37 point free hit where all the beasts who have smashed us all season suddenly fail to produce.

So annoying that Doughty wont rise in price and have been in the 95-97% delta for days. He basically unlocks all moves I wanna make in gw30.

70 for me and a decent green.

Still undecided between Muniz and Toney out for Solanke to get my 11 for 29. Toney is the safe pick obviously but Muniz has great fixtures immediately after as well and also is at the perfect price to ride the bench until I can swap him for a GW37 doubler. Need to make that decision before Solanke drops in price this week as it'll cost me £0.1m. Bus team currently...

Areola
Doughty Reguillon Udogie
Barkley Maddison Son Bowen
Watkins Morris ????

Neto Saka Gabriel Zabba

Plan is Salah and Palmer back in 30 and Haaland and Darwin/Havertz in 31.

I think if I can then target the likes of Petrovic, Branthwaite, Gusto and Cunha for Areola, Doughty, Reguillon, Muniz I'll be in good shape for a BB in 37.
I have the exact same team for 29 apart from Bailey instead of Barkley. Same approach with transfers, only “risk” imo is not having Nunez at home against Brighton in 30.

Yeah I'm not massively worried about that as Salah is the outstanding captain for that week. Just can't go without Palmer against Burnley who is probably the next best option.

Dare say anyone on a FH is similar, but just for appearances like...

Flekken (Areola)
Porro Cash Doughty (Collins, Robinson)
Son Maddo Bowen Luiz (Elanga)
Watkins Toney Muniz

Any differences? Maybe throw a Bailey or Diaby onto the bench instead of Elanga to cover any Watkins risk?

Looks good.
Elanga could be a really nice diff if he starts. Great numbers lately. I'd probably go with Bailey over Luiz though, as Luiz'll probably have more defensive responsibilities with both Kamara and McGinn out.
Should be a healthy green anyway.

Pondering whether I should take the risk and not play the free hit. I have 7 players with 1 free transfer? Go into the GW with 8 and save the FH?

Current team:

Areola
Udogie, Tosin, Doughty
Bowen, Son (c)
Watkins

Subs: Martinez

I still have my WC and BB left, so a part of me feels, I'm better off just using it now. Any tips?

What would your team be on a FH? How many extra points do you hope to get from it?

If that was my team I'd probably just take a -4 and get in Toney & Maddison/Elanga and keep the chips. You've got the most obvious captain option already.

I'm not even sure but it wouldn't be radically different as the only players I'd definitely bin would be the keepers, Tosin and possibly Porro to Udogie.

I'm leaning towards saving the chip too. I was about to say I'll keep Solanke for the fixtures after the international break but then I realised Toney has Burnley this weekend...

I may even just bin Haaland instead of Solanke for GW30 instead and bring him back in on a WC in 31.

Why is everyone so keen on Flekken. I can see Burnley are not great at home and struggle to score even but it's not like Brentford are a defensive powerhouse.

I was personally looking at Martinez and AReola, with Doughty, Reguilon and Porro/Udogie in defence.

92 and absolutely zero humble-ness at all on the basis it’s the exception to my fecking awful season, so I’ll enjoy it.

… before my score of 13 next week

I've got a very similar team.

Flekken (Leno)
Porro Collins Doughty (Cash, Robinson)
Son Madison Bowen Elanga (Kudus)
Watkins Morris Toney

I'm still thinking about getting Muniz in for Morris. Morris edges it for now as he has a home game.

I can get to 8 players with my free transfer this week.

I'm currently debating whether to take hits to get my team up to 9 or 10 players instead. It feels easier to justify hits here than a normal week as it's only effectively 2 points per player once you factor in appearance points. I'm on a wildcard next week so I'm trying to work out if Maddison and/or Porro are worth it for the one week punt.

Yeah these blank game weeks are often 28 point average. Fully expect Son to blank but no idea who the unearthed gem might be. Suspect it will be a Forest attacker though.

Muniz has a home game too doesn't he?
Or did you mean a lesser opponent than Muniz has?

Ive had to use my wildcard this week as I had only about 3 players available due to everyone else not playing and John McGinn being suspended.

I haven't put my FH together yet, but went through the fixtures at the bookmakers and their clean sheet odds the other day. Brentford are most likely to keep one of all the teams playing according to them. I suppose others might have come to the same conclusion using stats or just intuitively.

The thing is, at 12/5 odds they're still much more likely to concede than keep a cleanie so who knows how to go. I'm finding goalies almost impossible predict anyway!

You can look at a game, think the 'keeper won't have much to do and be right only for him to concede from both shots on target. Or shy away from a 'keeper, thinking he's going to be under a barrage of a shots, again be right and watch him rack up the save points and BPS even if he concedes 2 or 3.

I usually often go for most likely cleanie when choosing between my 2 'keepers so there's a decent chance I'll go for Flekken in the end.

You are right, Muniz against Spurs. I reckon NFO vs LUT is going to have a few goals in it, so Morris might get more chances to score from. Last 4 home games -> Morris returned 8, 8, 5, 5 vs 11, 8, 13, 1 points for Muniz. Its annoyingly difficult to choose between the two of these.

Yeah that and Luiz vs Bailey are the decisions I'm mulling. Someone above said Luiz is more likely to have a defensive role, so maybe I'll pull the trigger on getting Bailey in.

Muniz vs Morris is the harder one. Muniz has a harder opponent but he's been on fire. Morris has been returning consistently as well but I feel like his luck might run out now. It's not like he was getting goals and assists at any other point of the season. On the other hand, I've smugly been playing him through his entire golden run and don't want to miss out on any more Morris points as it feels like a personal victory every time.

I suppose it should be Morris shouldn't it, given they're playing Forest? On the other hand, Spurs without Van de Ven is a pretty good recipe for them conceding twice.

10 players using my FT (and if Watkins plays)
May take a -4 to field 11, but only if that player makes sense considering the next few gameweeks.

Have Son as captain, but I am unsure whether to change to Toney?

Son is the obvious choice, which probably means I should go with Toney.

True. Although Morris did just have a double....

Any news on Reguilon? Will likely bench him anyway but if he's out I might as well go Roerslev or Robinson instead.

Currently sitting on

Flekken Kaminski
Porro Doughty Cash Reguilon Coufal
Bailey Maddison Son Kudus Bowen
Toney Morris Watkins

Anyone got someone they know (from this thread) in the Redcafe Cup?
Got a bye apparently, due to my GW28 score.

Says it's the round of 1024 and we have 575 players so I'm asuming only those who were outside the top 512 last GW are playing? Just over 60 of us?

Edit: No it'll be 120 won't it? They need to knock 60-odd out to bring it down to 512.

Seeing a few shouts for Fofana as 3rd striker option. Almost tempting. Forgotten man Wissa not a bad differential with 3 small returns in a row . Shame Forest's lineups are unpredictable or Wood/Awoniyi would be in the mix as well.

XGI/90:

Watkins 0.65
Wood 0.56
Awoniyi 0.51
Morris 0.46
Muniz 0.45
Wissa 0.45
Fofana 0.44
Toney 0.43

Probably going to stick with what I have but exploring late options.

Iwobi can always pull something out of the bag in midfield I suppose.
