I think that would be a 2026 onwards re-design. Lifting the current cars floor by 5-10cm would be the simplest temporary solution for now.
Ironically though wasn't it when Merc and Ferrari ran their cars so low to the ground their plank wear was called into question last year that they were basically also closest to RB? In other words, be careful what you ask for because I have a sneaky suspicion RB can raise their ride height far better than other teams can and it not seriously affecting performance, or at least not in proportion to the loss of performance the others would experience.

I think they should raise the ride height if it’s medically proven than the current car regulations are affecting driver health long term; regardless of whoever it benefits and weakens.

From my perspective the Red Bull is just fundamentally a much better car than all their competitors so no matter what you do they’re still going to come out on top.

Drivers health should override any performance drops. Regardless of what happens, under these rules, RB will come out on top.

Newey’s remit at Red Bull is wider than just F1 and currently also includes work on their new RB17 hypercar project, but suggestions of any change in responsibilities are understood by Sky Sports News to be inaccurate.

It's funny watching these rags in Germany and Netherlands all trying to spin that Newey's work on the RB17 is evidence of a rift with Horner, banishment from F1 work and why he'll soon be looking to leave. The hypercar project was literally what kept him at Red Bull because it's a huge area of interest for him, same as his work on Valkyrie and why Ferrari keep dangling road car design work to tempt him over.

They also keep wheeling out Ralf Schumacher and Albers to eat up more column inches. These Austrians and Dutchies aren't exactly subtle.

Though in all the interviews ive seen with him thats one of the things he highlights as being a big part of why he is there. I think the media and certain elements feeding them are clearly looking to have fun trying to continuously paint RB as some terrible place to work but thats opposite of the opinion you seem to get when you see chats with all their staff not called Horner. In some ways continued success is worse than mediocrity though bc eventually people get too used to it and stop feeling a sense of accomplishment. Things are weird like that I guess.

Newey in particular though clearly also enjoys the large amount of freedom he gets from RB to work on other projects. Again, just basing it on interviews ive seen with the guy. Feels like he often downplays his work in F1 and talks more about boating and the hypercar as being his main passions.

I seriously should start a F1 Twitter account bc apparently there is enough for someone to spin all sorts of bollocks. Like Ferrari or anyone else wouldn't be trying to get him to come at any other time. Like any decent employee being poached in any type of business. Breaking news my ass.

I swear the press involved in F1 are even more moronic and derivative than tabloid football hacks.

In another "news" I learned that Papa Stroll is going to try "everything" to sign Max.

I guess when you have only 10 teams you need to get creative with the shite you invent but this is just random noise.

Its race week and yet anther race week, dominated by RB and creepy Horner.
This really needs to be sorted out and sorted out fast.
Thing is - it sounds like it is already sorted for as far as RB is concerned. Appeals can take a long time to resolve depending on the arena it's filed in. Years in some cases. It seems to be it's up to RB whether they still think it's worth the optics of it rather than coming to a resolution on the entity of the case. Likely however Horner already has attorneys lined up himself. Potential for two wrongful terminations.

Its a masterclass by RedBull. The racing is utterly shit cause they are light years ahead of everyone so take the focus off the on track car and onto the off track shananigans. Genius!

So as expected whoever was whistleblowing against MBS was doing it without providing any actual evidence. Murky power games everywhere.

I'd take anything Bild says as a pinch of salt usually, only until other respected F1 journalists come out with something similar.

Wow Hamilton wasn't holding back in some of the things he said in an interview in Australia.
Asked whether Mohammed Ben Sulayem still had Hamilton's confidence as FIA president, Hamilton said: "(He) never has."

Well why would he? What has he done in circuit racing? Because he's rich? The sport was sold and now the buyers want respect... Feck off to them.

Max doesnt look happy. Will all the drama surrounding RB effect his performance?

This race will definitely see more than one SC.

Albons cars chassis is possibly fecked I was reading, so Williams might only be able to run one car because they don't have a spare with them, so they have to decide who gets it. Going to be interesting!

was just about to come and post that, if he does I think that a bit unfair on Sargeant.
They might be able to repair it, Williams team principal James Vowles said: “It was a fairly big accident. The engine is damaged, the gearbox is split in two, and the chassis is damaged. It’s the worst you could have ever had. We do not have a third chassis here. So, now it’s just whether we can repair this one.”

I agree, another poor showing from Lewis in FP again.
Still dont expect anything other than Max P1 :boring:
RB 1 -2 with maybe Leclerc splitting them
I feel Hamilton is not motivated enough to drive Merc. He has simply given up on them.

I sort of agree with you, but his comment say otherwise.
Lewis Hamilton had a day of practice to forget as he struggled to match the pace of teammate George Russell to finish ninth and then ended up a lowly 18th in session two.

Despite his apparent struggles, Hamilton was quick to praise the car. He said: “I think we have an amazing car, there’s a lot of potential in it and I think we just haven’t maximised it at the moment. We’re obviously not happy with the performance at those first couple of races.”
