100% agree with the posters saying it's a no-brainer.

-Free signing
-Would almost certainly accept reasonable wages given he's only on 40k per week at Fulham
-Very tall
-Good on the ball
-Good passer
-Manchester born and bred

I'm not sure he can be in the starting 11 of a potential PL and CL winning team, but every season we need options and he could be an absolutely quality squad player for us.

If this one doesn't happen, I will be very confused why it didn't.
Honestly if he's not always injured it would be of value to us.

He's good but not quite good enough to be a first choice starter for us. However, it makes sense if he's willing to be, say, third choice. History shows with us and centre backs, he'd get a lot of game time anyway. He's a Manchester lad and it may tempt him to come back home. Plus it fits with the rumours that we're looking a little more to English players.

With money seemingly tight(ish) for now, and the appointments for dealing with transfers still a work in progress, then, yeah, someone of his (decent) ability, age, and PL experience available on a free is definitely a player we should be looking at for an area that we need players for.

The club might be aware of a similar option that they opt for instead, which would be fine. But this is certainly the kind of opportunity that we should be looking at at this stage.

He plays like Smalling. Great at aerial duel , strong and quick , but positioning and ball-playing are average.
We have Martinez , Varane , Lindelof, Maguire, Evans, Kambwala at CB. That's bit much. We can let Evans go and leave room for Kambwala to grow. Also it looks like we will go with Todibo if Varane is leaving.
So if we are signing Adarabioyo, it would only make sense that we let either Lindelof / Maguire go as well. It is actually not bad a deal taken we reduce wage and have someone younger and more willing to play 3rd/4th choice.

No way anyone can pronounce his full name

Abdul-Nasir Oluwatosin Oluwadoyinsolami Adarabioyo
I like the Luton striker, Elijah Adebayo's, full name - Elijah Anuoluwapo Oluwaferanmi Oluwatomi Oluwalana Ayomikulehin Adebayo. :)

Adarabioyo or Lloyd Kelly are no-brainers for bigger clubs on a free this summer.

I like the age breakdown of this. Two guys who should/could start at their peak, two up and comers capable of starting rotating next to those starters. The only issue maybe fitness issues with the players selected. Varane and Martinez will suffer injuries again and we may face a similar situation to this season.

Ideally I’d maybe purchase someone of a similar profile or get in another free if possible. Wouldn’t like to be left with just two youngsters and Tosin in an emergency.
Varane will most likely get injuries but Martinez has just been extremely unlucky as he was brought back early from the metatarsal injury then redid it then had a freak contact injury last time out, I don’t think Martinez had ever had an injury that lasted more than a few games before those either here or at Ajax.

Why not both if we can get them, we should be clearing out a lot of average defenders this summer. I could see a situation where WE bring in one big money CB signing and supplement the squad with one or two freebies and then let go two or three big earners.

It's not a computer game. It's OK to gamble on a non-sure thing on a free, but we can't be conducting this transfer window like some newly promoted club trying to clean up the bosmans. As we have seen we have quite a form for keeping players way past their sell-by date, only in the case of Lukaku and James did the club do OK with recouping money and shifting them when they were clearly not the future.

We need a physical centre back as back up, but more importantly we lack a ball playing centre back with intelligence so we aren't a one trick pony with Martinez.

All of these could conceivably leave this summer especially Varane and Evans they are out of contract

Varane is a given but I’ll have to take your word on Martinez. I remember reading that he was injured before joining us at Ajax but haven’t checked it myself. I’m only concerned that with his style that he will receive contact injuries regularly rather than that he is injury prone. Central defenders at United seem to follow a pattern so maybe I’m being unconsciously pragmatic too.

Would be a shrewd signing for the 3rd/4th pick CB position. Premiership proven, good physically, good age..... even as 4th pick he's probably guaranteed 20 starts and another dozen or so sub appearances. Much more is Martinez remains a crock

Sell Lindelof for some money, move his wages to this guy = profit + better, younger and more useful defender. It's not rocket science. Come on INEOS.

Assuming we give the guy a reasonable salary then Tosin on a free is a smart signing. He is young, he is homegrown, he is a decent talent and he will allow us to get rid of some of the CBs we have who are on absolutely ridiculously high salaries, who will soon become free agents themselves (thus this is our last chance to cash in) and who quite frankly aren't that better then Tosin is

Agreed, getting rid of Varane, Maguire and maybe Evans for Tosin, Braithwaite and Todibo would be an upgrade in speed, ball playing ability and availability. Physicality wise, probably on par, experience wise, a downgrade.

Successful squads aren't great on the pitch but off the pitch as well. Take SAF's squads as an example. They were basically made up of 3 types of players. One could transition from one section to another of course.

A- the established players. I am referring to the likes of Stam, RVN, Cantona etc. These were usually the players that were paid the most salary wise. They also carried the most responsibility as well.
B- the promising talent. The established players were the most paid but this is the tier SAF would usually break the bank for. I am referring to the likes of Rio, Rooney, Ronaldo, Nani and Anderson ie young players that many thought (and they were sort of right) we've paid over the odds for.
C- The squad players. These were made of a mix of three players
- C1- Older players who had since transitioned from established to squad players, they still had their uses and were ready to accept lower salaries and/or game play (later years Choccy for example)
- C2- talent from the academy (OShea, Phil Nev, Wes Brown etc)
- C3 - players bought on the cheap. Some were surprisingly impressive (ex Ole, Van Del Gouw) but most did the job (ex Fortune) and we had some duds as well (Cruyff, Djemba Djemba and Kleberson for example)

SAF was skint on C, so he could spend ridiculously on B and he used the salaries given to A as a incentive for Bs to become As. SAF might have mellowed in time but he was incredibly defensive of that system. Phil Neville for example got a huge pay rise after he did fairly well as DM (he killed Vieira). When things didn't worked exactly the way SAF expected he sold him off to Everton leaving the guy and his missus in tears. Such system was necessary to keep control over the finances which allowed United to facilitate sales and therefore be able to spend big in what matters the most ie top tier young talent.

That's what INEOS are trying to do. They are getting top tier appointments in terms of bargain buys/youth talent (WIlcox, Ashworth etc) while concurrently getting rid of players whose worth on the pitch isn't worth the salary they are getting. Take Maguire as an example. He's on nearly 10m a year. Eriksen is on nearly 8m a year while Lindelof is on 6m+ a year. In comparision Tosin is on 2m+ a year, Todibo is on 1m+ a year, Thuram is on 800k+ and Bard is on 200k a year. If we get rid of Maguire and we buy all those players on double their salary then we would still benefit us salary wise. Now imagine if we add the rest including guys like Martial (13m a year) and Shaw (nearly 8m a year) who are barely ever available.

Tosin might surprise us like that 27 year old CB we brought from Besiktas did or he might be a squad player level in the same way Evans did this season. Either way he'll benefit us as he'll help us fill the homegrown quota and he'll allow us to get rid of players on silly salaries most of whom will feck off on a free next year if we let them. Even if he turns out to be a dud then assuming we give him a realistic salary then it wouldn't be tragic either. That's because we'll be able to find buyers for him just as we did with Djemba Djemba who was bought for 3.5m and was sold for 1.5m thus costing us the access of just 2m

Probably not that simple. We’ve left it too late to move him on. He’s going to be 30 by the time the transfer window opens and on a higher wage than most teams will be willing to play for an average player. We have to get more proactive with selling players who will never be good enough.

Really hope we get him, we would be stupid not to considering he’s free and we’re in need of numbers.

I like Anthony Robinson at Fulham too, looks ready to make the next step. Seems the kind of shrewd signing that one of our rivals makes.

Antonee Robinson is one that will frustrate you as much as he excites you. Dude works tirelessly up an down the wing. I think he is better suited for a team that counter attacks as his possession and passing leaves a lot to be desired. however, he loves to get forward. I think his best position is LWB. I saw where Liverpool was looking at him so I do not want him to go there.

Why ? It is pretty easy to pronounce, may be because am of Nigerian origin myself
Yeah it's not that hard. Native English speakers just get scared when they see more than 7 letters in a row. When it happens in English they can't even agree how to pronounce it.
