It's a bit ridiculous they tried to prosecute him as one of the shooters. This is a man who hasn't been convicted of anything since 1983. They couldn't even prove he was in the country at the time. They put far too much faith in the evidence of that Dowdall gobshite.
Crazy. Looks like they could have got a conviction against him and his brother on possession of the weapons involved, and perhaps some aspect of the planning. But nobody thought he was one of the actual shooters, all based on the word of a proven liar and torturer whose own testimony couldn't hold.
