Meanwhile De Bruyne asks to be subbed off vs Madrid due to an upset tummy.
Please stop all these nonsense chat, Bruno is not at the level of KDB, not even Odegaard.
An intelligent player knows when he is at the break point, asking for substitution after scoring a goal and having a good game does not not mean he has chickened out.
Bruno supporters need to have some shame, the player has been rag shit all season and suddenly comes into form and his supporters are pestering everyone. Recency bias the lot of you

Shame on all you United fans who support United's best post-Fergie signing who plays through injury and always gives his all for the club.

Starting to think a few of them are just setting everything up to lament the negativity once another "not-so-great" games rolls around. But I guess that is how things go

Doesn't shine a great light on the medical team to me. I mean, if a player has broken bones, should he really play a professional football game against Sheffield United? But I'll be honest, I have no clue how common it is to play through lesser injuries. Just don't know why you would do it for a dead rubber. This is the stuff I am always puzzled by, "uh he wanted to set up the debut boy" and "uh he played voluntarily despite injury" - he must have a great PR team. Most likely Jordan Hendersons crew.

That's a different argument, McT gives his all but we don't deem him good enough.
We need people competent at their job.

Is Bruno one of our better players? Yes!

Can we ever aspire to dominate games against decent sides with Bruno in the team? Resoundingly No!

Why not? Because his pass completion percentage is lower than the average midfielder? Some of the most successful teams over the years have had midfielders worse than Bruno in their team. Quite a few of the posters on here seem to think that the only way to fit Bruno into your team is if everything is funnelled through him, when that doesn't have to be case at all. He can be an important cog in a functioning, successful team. The main reason our gameplay has been centered around him since he signed is because no other fecker has been good enough or consistent enough to step up to the plate.

Either he is tactically naive/uncoachable or Ole/ETH are bafoons. I'd like to think is both.

Additionally I believe he spams it because he is technically not good enough to play a certain way. When I watch Odegaard play, I see a technically proficient and intelligent player. He makes Arsenal tick. He is their main creative outlet but seems more economical with the ball.
I just don't think Bruno is capable of playing in a possession based team, just not press resistant or technically effective.

We’ve established your English isn’t great so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you’re not making stuff up to make Bruno look bad. FYI the Sheffield game wasn’t a dead rubber (google it)

I know international football isn't the same standard as the PL, but he's more than capable at being effective in a possession based Portugal team.

He should be applauded. A mess of a structure, a terrible coach, a horrendous tactical formation that makes everyone look worse, woeful recruitment, and he is still out there fighting and giving his all.

He is a fantastic professional and the complete antithesis of what Rashford has done under the same conditions.

Perhaps because they have many cultured players in the team and his spamming is insignificant or he is forced to be more measured.
I just don't think he has the skill to keep the ball in tight spaces.

Well there you go then. Sign more cultured players to play alongside him and coach him to be more measured at times, then we can dominate games against decent sides with Bruno in our team. Also replacing Ten Hag with a possession based manager would help.

When we do that, we will look to upgrade on him

That's what you think, but chances are we'll be looking to upgrade on 7 or 8 other positions before we even consider a Bruno replacement. And if we do end up with a starting 11 that functions better without him, then he'll likely be kept around as a squad player because he's undoubtedly a good influence in the dressing room. I'm sure Bruno haters like yourself will despise the thought of that, but it is a far more likely eventuality than us selling him anytime soon.

My bad. I really got that wrong. Always thought the term was used for matches where the result doesn't really matter. Which still wouldn't be true in the most objective way but to me it is irrelevant. Thanks for pointing that out.

Bruno is as good as KDB and Odegaard. That's why he gets numbers as good as these two.

Unfortunately, ETH is not good for this level. Also, Antony and Hojlund are not good either. If ETH, Anotny and Hojlund were top in their job, Bruno would get even better numbers. We need to find a world-class manager and a couple of top players. We are wasting Bruno's best years.

It will be hard to upgrade our best player in the past 5 years. It is more reasonable (and easier!) to upgrade Antony, Hojlund, Rashford, Casemiro and many others.

Obviously we have to do that before we can be competitve. That list is mostly dead ballers

He has to pass to Hojlund first....all he does is pass it out to the wings who then cut inside and shoot.

Andrei Kanchelskis made me fall in love with Unite
Completely disagree. He was shocking that season and has been really poor this season…up until this month. Ronaldo was miles better than him the season under Ragnick, Rashford, Martinez, Casemiro, Shaw, Varane we’re better than him last season and this season Garnacho, Dalot, Mainoo have been better even with this last month considered as pre that was just poor.

Then he has a good game and suddenly he’s been our best player since he came. The narrative being that I agree with but the reality I don’t agree with.
And I completely disagree with your last point in particular. In fact, I'd say the opposite is true - for those of us who appreciate Bruno, it is about much more than his form over the past year. When he arrived he literally saved Ole's job with his instant impact and was excellent the following season too. Has he hit the heights in the past year? No - but the team has been a mess. Even having said that, he has had 26 goal contributions this year - who else in the team can boast similar numbers?

It’s not the last game, it’s 26 G/A he’s got, when the second and third best players have 16 and 14 respectively.

Keano was 100% correct in his assessment of him in the latest Stick to football episode.

I hope he is moved on while his stock is relatively high. Wish it is the Saudi's who come calling with a bucket load of cash. It could be our Liverpool's Coutinho moment. We'd do well to invest that money in a couple of players with huge potential who are more suited to a big club.

What a train wreck of a post. Especially after Højlund just scored from a Bruno pass. Those two are beginning to find each other and will become one of our most important partnerships next season when we hopefully have a new manager / system.
Antony is shite though I will give you that.

How the hell Keano's comments were right.

He's a fantastic footballer, the only one who kept United from being 10th since he's there, but how he's not a winner?

Is it only based on medals ?

Does it means also that Kieran Richardson is a winner because he won a PL title in 2006/2007 ? Or maybe Kuzcask was?

Keano won everything, played marvelousely and was an absolute freak, but it doesn't means that he should judge everyone based on his standards that are miles above the normal ones.

Think sometimes Keano just want to provoke and have the good sentence to be on the screen

If you’re going to call someone a winner they better be one.

Bruno has been great but he has also been quite poor in some of out bigger games

Could "The biggest Bruno defender on the site" which you throw out as an insult translate to "biggest Bruno fan"? Because this is a United fans forum and Bruno has been consistently our best player since his arrival. I don't think it's the huge crime you think it is for a United fan to be a fan of our best player.
Who said it was a crime or insult?

Everyone has their own opinion. Some people like certain players more than others. Some people rate players are world class when others don't. Some people see things differently.

A lot of assumptions in your response.

That’s like the flat track bully nonsense. Playing for a poor team like United we’re almost always on our back foot in big games, so a player like Bruno - who needs a platform to perform - will always struggle. Besides, on the rare occasions we have performed well as a team in big games these last few years Bruno is always at the heart of all our best attacking football.

At which point is someone a winner? Bruno has won a league and some cups. They don't count because they aren't the PL or CL?
