It's mad, 10 years ago he was basically finished then resurrected his career in January 2015 onwards under LVG.. here we are a decade later and he's still playing at this level. Some longevity.

I agree... red shirt black shorts is my favourite too. Just that particular top with the black lines it was awful for me (in my opinion anyway - I get some may have loved it).
Great professional but I think it's been one season too far for him.

Loved it though. It happened right in front of where I sit. 30 seconds later, whilst Di Maria is still laying on the floor milking it, Young walks over to apologise and you hear a guy stood behind me shout "give him another one Ash!"

Felt he was a bit of a bridge between yesteryear and now. Loves SAF but cannot really describe why, he couldn't - and by extension his team mates - produce anything similar under other managers. A lot seemed to be that they 'didn't get' or 'they wete too tactical'. For me, AY seemed like everything we deem wrong with the modern game. Call me cynical if you want..
Outside of a few months in his first season it's not like Young produced much else for Fergie. Struggling with injury/form for the rest of his first season and was a non entity for entirety of 12/13. Played lots of games for us and seems a likeable chap but he was a poor signing for me. Outside of the few months in his first season he never hit the heights he did at Villa and never seemed good enough to be challenging for the major trophies.
That’s not what I took from that. He didn’t say any manager was “too tactical”. He just expressed that he didn’t like how rigid LVG and Mourinho set us up. He’s an attacking wide player by trade so you can understand why he would have preferred less rigid coaches.
He also clearly stated some of the signings post Fergie weren’t up to it and that was partly the reason for the downturn in fortunes. He implied LVG’s approach with players didn’t work.
