According to Alvarez de Mon, a youtuber who normally has good sources, Luka Modric won't continue next year at Real Madrid and will leave his number 10 to Kylian Mbappe.

Absolute legend of the club that could bid farewell by lifting his sixth European Cup in twelve seasons having delivered a spectacular performance.

He was amazing. I wouldn't have him above Iniesta, but he gets extra points for unbelievable longevity.

Watched him when he was young lad, he was on loan from Dinamo. It was obvious that he will be special player, was class above of everyone else. It was only bosnian league but he was so good. I wanted him so badly at UTD. But fair feck to him, he probably doesn't have any regrets.

Great longevity, he must be well over 1000 matches, no?

Calling Ramon a youtuber is not only an understatement but may be insulting. Apart from being a good journalist he is literally a "socio compromisario" of the club.

I think it's worth bringing him to Old Trafford for one season. Absolute legend. Many could learn for him.

Real will no doubt offer him to us for £60m, depends on whether the new football chiefs fall for it like the previous clowns did with ADM, Varane and Casemiro.
As he's out of contract he would be a free transfer.

He should stay another year, he's a great dressing room guy and everyone loves him here.

On a free with low wages it wouldn't be too bad of a transfer.

He'll probably retire after the euros.

Absolute legend but it's time for him to go. I hope the club understands the urgency of signing a player capable of making a decent pass (unless Arda Guler starts getting real minutes).
He's obviously a genius but you(United) should think about younger players

Turns 39 in 4 months. Wonder if he'll continue somewhere else or just retire after Euros. Not like there's something left for him to achieve.

"Good" journalist is a bit of an exageration...and being a socio doesn't actually give him access to that level of information - he spent months letting the world know Mbappé had already signed with Madrid in 2022

Also should be more careful of showing off his search history

Was it the club's decision or his? I believe he still has at least one season left in the tank. He brings something everytime he comes in as a sub and he's still the best midfielder Madrid have to break down low blocks.

I hope to see him in Europe one more season.

Like Eriksen he should have been signed 15 years ago.

One of the finest midfield players of all time, be interesting to see where he goes next.

When will some of this fanbase learn
He’s the missing piece that will take us to the league title. Put him on £500k a week
Why stop there? Let's play it cool, give it a few more years and then decide to get the old band back together again. Casemiro, Modric followed by Kroos. Anyone up for bringing Ronaldo back? Maybe we could tempt Bale out of retirement.

Have we not learnt our lesson about signing players in midfield, no matter how good they've previously been, who are old as feck and can't run?

MLS or Saudi bound probably.
The interesting thing here now is if Kroos will retire.

Truly one of the greatest players I’ve ever seen. A master in the midfield.

Can't really say he's been all that good at Madrid, was lucky to win a few trophies but his team carried him. Swap him for McTominay and you won't notice a difference.

We’re not a golf club.

Wait … are Ratcliffe and Brailsford looking to swap Carrington for a golf field still?

Call Rio.

It is not really the normal Real Madrid transfer we would do. We wouldnt pay a big transfer fee for an older player but just big wages. That is an improvement. This would be more of a Cavani type signing i suppose...

Nah he's the new Modric, still a good 5 years or so left in him
He probably could play for longer but I don’t think he wants to. He had originally planned to retire already but was convinced to play for at least another year by others and also due to him still being at a high level. I do think he wants to retire at a top level rather than continue playing until his performances drop.

I think if Kroos wins CL he'll want to keep playing to become the only player to win 7 CLs.

A truly great player. One of the best midfielders of this generation. He’s 38 now, he could easily retire.

We should have signing Eriksen when he was 15?
