Had a quick shufty at one of the Spurs forums. No idea if this is one of the more sensible forums or not. Most common view seems to be that he deserves another season but will need to improve. Lots of giving him a 6/10 for the season. Most common complaints levelled at the manager seem to be quality of football after Christmas, being so weak at set plays and that they're easy to outmanoeuvre tactically.

Fair assessment.

He's going to need to be smarter about things next season. They ended up scraping 5th with no mid-week football and having their season propped up by some title-challenging form at the very start of the season, while the expected rivals for European places happened to all be quite shit for most of the campaign.

Well they ended up higher than I thought they would after selling Kane and hiring Postecoglu, I was expecting 8th-10th. Had a crazy run of injuries at one point as well. How do the Spurs fans on here feel? 5th and Europa league good enough to get Big Ange another season?

The squad overall needs work, dont really see Levy giving Postecoglu any money unless they sell however. But he may get some funds if they move a bunch of players surplus to requirements and players that want out(Ndombele, Gil, Royal, Lo Celso, Hojbjerg, Solomon, Perisic, etc).

Good season from him. Spurs fans seem a lot happier with him than he is with them.
Some of their fans seem to have turned on him because of results in 2024. Combined with his recent comments.

At least on The Fighting Cock anyway. Spurs fans can be quite deranged due to always being the bridesmaid. They're sick of being Spursy.

Their results have been horrific for a long time now. It was ok when they had awful run with Romero and Van De Ven out but they and Madison have been back for most of their shit results of late. They basically had a rich man's Brighton season, carried by a good early run. I wouldn't blame them for being very worried about him, even though in the context of losing Kane I'd give him leeway.

They didn't play badly in the defeats against Arsenal, Liverpool or City though. You can see that they have the potential to be a good team.

They're able to mix it with these teams for sustained spells in games, but aren't ruthless enough.

A new DM and ST should be their priorities for next season. They probably need to bring in a prolific wide player as well. They needs more goals in the team.
