Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
I’m going Fred and Elanga. It’s likely to be caused by a challenge or something and they’d probably come into contact during training. I can’t see De Gea or Ronaldo getting too physical during training personally.

Sounds like DDG and Ronaldo if you try to decode the cryptic tweets.
Wide age gap? nope.

I don't really care to be honest anyway. Training ground scraps happen all the time.

1 mistimed tackle with adrenaline flowing and stuff kicks off. I'd imagine it's happened in every club up and down the country at some point.

I read that Ronaldo was stopping the fight. De Gea doesn't strike me as a fighter and I think it's unlikely that a goalkeeper would find himself in this situation. Hannibal and Fred?

The Maguire haters are in shambles. They desperately wanted it to be him for some strange reason.

It does suggest that one was a player who isn't known for truculence. I suppose Fred fits that's description too but DDG was the one I thought of first.

Sounds like Ronaldo and someone
Yeah, Ronaldo and Elanga. Earlier in the season it looked like they were getting on really well but after Elanga's incredibly poor Siuuuu celebration Ronnie has been slowly boiling with rage. Because Elanga hasn't apologised once for his piss poor attempt we've now reached this point.

 I know you joke but I genuinely hope it isn't them because Elanga's been singing Ronaldo's praises all season and going to him for help

Has to be De Gea and Elanga.

Only ones with a wide age gap, different mother tongues, have performed above expectation and are undeniably committed to United.

"Generated plaudits from supporters" narrows down the pool a lot.

"Not renowned for his truculence" would also be an atypical way of describing Ronaldo. The only other older players I can think of who have received any sort of praise this season are De Gea and Mata? Unlikely though De Gea being aggressive seems, I can't imagine Mata suddenly turned feral.

So then the other part would be a younger player who has recieved some sort of praise. Elanga maybe?

Only players getting plaudits are De Gea, Ronaldo, Fred, Elanga and possibly Hannibal. Take your pick.
Fred was definitely involved. The clues make it sound like it was him + 1.

But thats just one player looking at the quote, what about the other?
Good point. "One of the players is not renowned for his truculence" could still mean the other is. If it was De Gea and Elanga you could just as easily say neither player is truculent.

I saw Samuel Lukhurst article on it and we all say the United team is a shambles but even the journalism is a shambles.

Posting about a training ground scrap and making it a guess the players.. this is what its come down to...

My guess based on Luckhursts cryptic clues is Ronaldo and Elanga.
Don't think anyone's first descriptor of Ronaldo is going to be 'not renowned for his truculence'.

Gotta be De Gea and Elanga.

De Gea's basically certain, because the only players you'd throw up 'not truculent' for are him, Lindelof and Mata. Lindelof's out because of the "lauded by fans" line and Mata's out because "they'll both be at the club next season".

Age gap + lauded by fans has to be Elanga or Sancho - and Sancho wasn't at training.

I'd be very surprised if it was Elanga, judging from Ronaldo and Bruno making such a fuss of him after assisting recently I can only imagine he's well liked and professional.
