Surprise. Mark Zuckerberg got rich being a self serving cnut - and he s hanging out with people who agree with being self serving cnuts.

I hope it's a nothing thing and he meets with everyone /did that as a courtesy but given FBs recent history and his leaked comments I'm not filled with much confidence there.

Read that the other day. 150 delegates behind coming out of Super Tuesday would be catastrophically bad for Biden, since most of the Southern primaries would be done by then. His only hope for sizeable gain then rests on the Midwest, where you’d imagine Sanders taking a large chunk of the older white union guys as well.

I personally think it won’t be that bad, but as long as Warren isn’t behind by more than a hundred delegates out of Super Tuesday her team must be fancying their chances.

I really don't get those polls. I talk to quite a few people but I never hear anyone raving about Warren in any way. It's almost exclusively Bernie or Biden. Do I hang out with the wrong people?

Her base is very liberal white woman + highly educated urban/suburban workforce professionals.

If you hang around with a lot of dudes + working class people, especially if they tend towards the older side, chances are you won’t find much adherents there.

Nope actually I hang out with mostly college educated white folks in professional office jobs in their early thirties to late 40s. Men and women equally. I'm also in an inner ring suburb. In other words - exactly the group you say should like her. In my opinion it's grossly understated that to the average voter Warren is a relative unknown compared to Bernie and Biden.

Next you will be telling me you live in MA :wenger:

The US is a big ass country though, so maybe you just happen to be in a weirdly unrepresentative place

YESHHHHH, We'll GOOO for it.
Back in 2016 when bill Mitchell was saying feck the polls, trump is going to get elected and we all laughed and then Trump really got elected. Fast forward to 2020, Sanders does the evil laugh and drop kicks Biden and Trump while laughing from the white house and I'll be cheering my homie from India

so not true inner ring then. i rest my case
More so than Sterling Heights, Troy, Bloomfield Hills, Novi, Farmington Hills etc - and more urban than Livonia, Warren and Dearborn. And yay I'm not in the Macomb County suburban sprawl wasteland. But fine we ll call it middle ring.

What you bring up is nothing to do with Socialism.
You are describing a Totalitarian system, whatever they decided to call themselves.
That does not mean a Capitalist state is not guilty. That is the point.

You need regulations for anything we do that touches people and the environment we live in.
What's that now, the USSR was not socialist?

What's with Americans and celebrities? Already elected one, and how's that working out?
She has a JD from Harvard law school along with several corporate positions on her CV. Calling her a celebrity is a bit simple. She was BO's mentor at the law firm where they met.

There's literally thousands of Harvard Law school grads, and most if not all work in corporate positions.

While I don't doubt she's smart, that's still a pretty thin resume for the president of the country.

We can be certain she is not the best we can get whatever her qualifications.
She is the wife of a former president.
We saw how well that turned out.
I despise Hillary, but even so, she had a more accomplished resume (US Senator, Secy of State) than MO today.

Oh, and Yale Law >>>>> Ha'vad Law.

The Dem base is truly awful. For all the talk of how stupid republican voters are, they at least understand that politics involves battle over institutions, battle of resources, a vision to the change their country(For the worst of course) etc. For Dems its just cultural signifiers, images and nostalgia.

Its very depressing.

Are you suggesting that some level of public service, either at congress, senate or gubernatorial level is the only way a person has the right CV for presidency?

I'm suggesting some career progression before getting the top job is necessary.

You don't make a CEO someone who's never worked in the field before, so why would you even consider her for leader of the free world boggles the mind.

Come on dude, don't be obtuse or argue for the point of arguing.

Guess there's always next time for Bernie. He'll be 737 years old by then, but feck it. Ruling is a senior citizen game.
