Aren't we a game away from setting an away record? Im guessing Anfield for the drama of that.

United with a very kind start to the season, but those October/November fixtures for United: the other five of the Big Six + Leicester + Everton!

That's a very good August and September for us, followed by a tough October and November. Hopefully will enable us to start the season really well.

Great. We need to start a season on fire for once. Barring those 3 wins in 3 by Jose's United, it feels like we always start the season with mediocrity.

Palace (H), Arsenal (A), Liverpool (A), Aston Villa (H), Spurs (A), City (H).

It looks tough on paper but the truth is, we’ve no idea how anyone will perform. Just happy that’s all under 2 months away.

The premier league is relentless. They couldn't even just let us enjoy the Euros in peace.

Really? Literally every single match-going fan is begging for as much notice as possible. We can now start planning our next 12 months.

Oct/Nov and March brutal months but then the months outside of those give real opportunities to put together really decent winning runs

Yeah fair point - I haven't been in Manchester in nearly 10 years so I'm a complete armchair fan who didn't really think of that.

Feels as if it has been a few years since we were away on Boxing Day and home at New Year’s Day.

Ahh, so they've broken the rule where we have to start against Palace - just finish against them instead! Frankly, if we are serious about managing a challenge, we should barely drop a point in the first seven matches - but I'm sure we'll manage it somehow

That doesnt look too tough? Spurs and Arsenal are a mess abd theres enough of a buffer between the other 3. Even then Chelsea struggle to beat us these days

October, November and March are ridiculously tough. Especially when we will definitely have European games in the October/November and hopefully in March too. The start to the season is decent for a couple of months. Exciting first game of the season.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"

Then compare that to City's fixtures. Yes, they have some tough games but not relentless and plenty of games where they can rotate/rest (especially Oct and March)

Feels like we always have the big 6 games all dotted around our CL group games of late.

Smart money is on us having a good season and then falling to bits in March.

Can wrap up the title vs Spurs mid March. Liverpool giving us the guard of honour the following week at Anfield. Scenes.

All those had runs on paper don’t really bother me - they usually get fecked up by cup games anyway
