Godfrey is interesting. There is so much hype but every time I watch Norwich he does not match that hype. Maybe Rio is the best person to advise Ole if he'll be worth taking a punt on considering he's mentoring Godfrey.Yeah Buendía had some good stats last season, has really kicked on this season.
Godfrey is another I watched him for England and he has all the skills to be a good CB
We can get Grealish for £45mil and we can get him in January but Ole want's Maddison. Problem with Maddison is we can only get him in the summer and then we face two problems. Will Leicester let him go and will he accept a move to us?I can only see an absolute maximum of 2 players coming in next month, however with our board I have serious concerns that we won't bring anyone in at all. There definitely seems a real divided opinion in our fanbase in who should be brought in for that number 10 position as some want Maddison, some want Grealish and some want Olmo. Personally I keep changing my mind on which of those players would best fit into this Utd team right now.
I feel that either Haaland or Werner would give us some competition in our front three and each would give our attack a different dimension in their own ways. My gut feeling says we are more interested in Haaland but if there is anything in the Juventus stuff then perhaps we will look at alternative options in January.
You could well be right on that but I really hope you are wrong as our squad is very thin and a couple of injuries or suspensions and we'll be in the sh!teI don't expect us to sign anyone. We've won our last two games, Ed is reactionary and at present there's nothing to react to.
I doubt Ed will be making decisions on every result. We are 5th currently and 4 pts away from a team that will definitely be spending in January. The signings or transfer discussion would be ongoing for weeks and if the players Ole and co. have identified are unavailable then probably we won't sign.I don't expect us to sign anyone. We've won our last two games, Ed is reactionary and at present there's nothing to react to.
Agree, if people are wanting anything in January then they'd better hope for another wobble.I don't expect us to sign anyone. We've won our last two games, Ed is reactionary and at present there's nothing to react to.
He’s on loan, though, with an option to buy so is he even possible?Matheus Pereira, they were talking about him on talksport Saturday and the numbers backup the chat
Number 10 left footed - 10 assets and 5 goals
These are actually all a really good shout. Mertens in particular would I think be perfect for us right now. Talented, experienced, can planyh a number of positions, and in his 30's so not likely to block the development of our younger lads coming through.Mertens Phillips Sancho.
We're not getting top 4 without signing a creative midfielder and a solid back up striker. Mertens will be available this January since his contract is expiring in the summer and Napoli would rather cash in on him.
Phillips is a creative DM and is unlikely this January. Although we shouldn't panic buy but wait for our targets to be available in the summer, if the aim is top 4 then a creative midfielder is a necessity. Paredes on loan is a good shout. He's one of the very good passers in Europe and his ability will be useful in breaking down low blocks.
Mertens and Paredes are good additions to help us secure top 4 which in turn will be a huge boost in signing Sancho in the summer
Not sure how all three of these transfers are realistic.Neves - He'll cost around 70m because Wolves don't need to sell and he's PL proven as well
Maddison - He'll cost around 85m considering they sold us Maguire for 85m
Sancho - He's the hotshot that's in the market and will easily cost 120m
As much as I would like to see Kalvin Phillips join United, I just don't see Leeds letting him go to United and not sure we're an attractive club in terms of being competitive. But those options are good. Although, Eriksen and Grealish would essentially be playing the same position.Only possibly available in the summer
Eriksen
Kalvin Phillips
Grealish
Sancho is realistic in the sense we need a RW and he's the RW we need. He's young and English and that's what United have been targeting lately. Lastly, he's the sort of marquee signing we'll need for shirt sales if we lose Pogba in the summer. So yeah, he's realistic in a way assuming we make CL next season.Do people know what realistic means? I don’t get the arrogance of our fan base to keep listing Sancho.
Eriksen could be a great player to rotate with McTominay, depending on the opposition. I think Eriksen will go to Juventus though. Grealish could perhaps replace Pogba, if he leaves at the end of the season. As much as I would like to see Kalvin Phillips join United, I just don't see Leeds letting him go to United and not sure we're an attractive club in terms of being competitive. But those options are good. Although, Eriksen and Grealish would essentially be playing the same position.
True, loan usually means the player isn't doing so well or needs game time and he will also have to adapt quickly to the league.I would be nervous about taking a player on loan though with Paredes...
Where did you here he is available in January please?Piatek

Was incredible before a nightmare year at AC Milan, Milan open to selling him in January. I don't see a striker with more potential anywhere than him.
Proper number 9 that gives us something we don't have at the moment. I predict if we don't sign him then we'll want him within a year or two for £90m.
Ironically this would be the most realistic attitude. Point for you, sir.Just readying myself for a very long month of "Monitoring the situation" "Considering making a bid" "Preparing to put in a bid" "Money is available for the right players" "No value in the market" "Happy with the squad" "Return from injury is like a new signing"...Blah, Blah, Blah...
Just a couple of Italian news story's linking him to an approach from Roma.Where did you here he is available in January please?
I think he's available. Same as Paqueta.Where did you here he is available in January please?
Olmo's surely taking up Barca's offer to return. We need quantity and quality. 6-7 players to the mould of Haaland (prior of joining Dortmund), Kulusevski, Olmo, Kalvin Phillips, Tonali and co, who are hungry for success and won't cost a fortune. We could mix that with experience such as Emre Can who wouldn't cost us a fortune. Unfortunately Woodward had already stated that the club can't handle more then 3 signings per summer.
Therefore I'd say
a- Kalvin Phillips
b- Bruno Fernandes/Zaniolo
c- Daniel Olmo
Recall Smalling whose on loan
If Pogba does leave then I'd get both Zaniolo and Bruno Fernandes + a cheeky bid for Milik (whose at the end of the contract) won't hurt
Phillips and Tonali shouldn't cost more then 20m-30m, Kulusevski is said to be moving to Juve for 30m, Olmo should be around 40m, Bruno should cost 60m and I can see Zaniolo moving on the same lines.Olmo's surely taking up Barca's offer to return.
Is there any way we could get two or three players for 40-45m?
