Being an arsehole to co-workers does not mean sometimes you can't hold a good opinion on a huge issue.

That's true, however is not part of the allegations against her that she used racial slurs? If that is the case, maybe we don't really want her opinion on this matter?
Even if she did use racial slurs a decade ago, she's entitled to an opinion on this at the moment.
She's got millions of followers, spreading a positive message at the moment is good, even if she's a twat.
Just look at the recent likes of Melissa Benoist who plays supergirl. Even she thinks Lea is a cnut.
She probably isn't the only celeb using this issue to make herself look virtuous despite probably not caring about the thing she's talking about.

Is it just me that finds this a bit...eh? If you come out with a statement like that where there are racial slurs and racism to be expose then...expose it? Otherwise you are complicit by standing by and being silent when it happened.
Equally, if she's an absolute disaster of a person who doesn't practice what she preaches and makes life miserable for others then people are absolutely entitled to call her out on that and ensure that she doesn't benefit personally from her faux solidarity.
Exactly, they could give 2 shits about the well being of black people. Same thing with all the corona virus pandering too. What's more is that some of these companies probably support politicians who ignore or support police brutality, discrimination and other things which make the lives of minority groups worse.

So how is she a victim to racism? If you know of racism that has happened and you come out and say 'yeah racism has happened and has been covered up' but then offer no evidence of that and just leave it as that then you're just standing by and allowing it to happen. The whole point of anti-racism is speaking up and out about these issues and not being silent when you know or see something racist.
Now you know where to focus all your deep hidden anger.
