Saw him, Shaw and Malacia in the training video the club put out. He has to go if he wants to play in the World Cup.
Im amazed he's in the brazilian squad. He has look nothing above average in his time here,

He's very good on the ball. He's just too slow. Wingers get such an easy game against him

He's not very good on the ball, he goes long anytime he's under pressure, his dribbling and short passing game isn't great.
He only spam crosses into the box even when its not the best option.

Another (of the many recent) players who I’ll have instantly forgotten moments after he leaves.

I definitely wont.

He might just be the worst Man United player in recent memory.

He's so far out of his depth in the premier league, it's laughable.

Maybe if we're lucky we can flog him to Serie A, Brazil or Portugal for 5 million. I can't imagine a PL club going near him.

The way he plays, seems like he thinks he's the left footed Beckham. outrageous attempts at crossing.

A star in Portugal who couldnt make the step up. It happens. Hopefully it will happen to Darwin too.

No shame in it though. Making the step up to the premier league is difficult. Hopefully Malacia can do it.

Sell Telles though, back to a weaker league and he will get high assist numbers + score free kicks again.

Surely United will find a buyer?

He still played like 50 games for United last season. It's not like Jones or Bailly where they've just been left to rot.

Ah give him some credit. He knows what he's doing in possesion and he's great from a dead ball. He just falls down athletically. He'd be great in Italy.

His stats against full backs in the Top 5 leagues

84% assist
Passes completed 82%
Key passes 84%
Passes under pressure 82%
Goal creation from dead balls 99%
Successful dribbles 88%
Carries into final third 90%

He should've had our Goal of the Season for his volley against Villareal to be fair. But I can see us selling him for some low-ball 2 million type offer or him going on loan where we cover most of the wages.

He feels like a player that should be reasonably sellable. At least by the standards of our players. The rumour was he wasn't on massive money, we don't have a huge sum to recoup. He has been poor but I don't think that would necessarily erase the decent reputation he built in Portugal from the perspective of clubs in other leagues. He's not going to attract mega sums but there's no point having 3 proper left backs.

We have an option to extend to 2025, so maybe it'll be a loan fee with the idea we can recoup some money with 2 years left on his deal next summer after he has a good season in Serie A or La Liga.

We all love United
I don’t like criticising players in preseason but I simply have to say he was atrocious today

Where has the Telles of his debut against PSG gone?

How does Erik play Telles in front of Axel at CB.
I can understand wanting a passing option at CB but all I have seen from him previously is just banging in aimless crosses since he has been at Utd.
I cannot wait to see him pissed off out of the club.....fecking useless!

Seems quite clear he's not in the managers plans with his spot as a makeshift CB. Wonder if we'll manage a sale.

Neither of them will be here when the window ends. We'll be trying to move both on.

Has to be sold now we have signed Malacia, its just a shame we havent signed a right back too as Dalot in ,y opinion is arguably jsut as bad and looks like being the starter.

Have to say, nver really saw him in Portugal but I remember lots of people really yping him up and how good he was going forward....just shows only judge a player from what you see with your own eyes, not stats or from this forum and people that seem to watch every league and player in it.....as he has been pretty atrocious here and to be fair to him, it isnt liek many down to a poor attitude as i think he has given his all, he just cant defend.

That is very much the modern full back though, an obsession with aht they can do attackign wise when we are in posession of the ball (has fell flat there before anybody comments) but the number of sypposed quality full back nowadays that are lacking so much defensively is strange to me....and lets not talk about the changge of play and what is desired from them. The likes of Cafu, Maldini, Thuram, Zanetti, Lahm, Irwin, Evra were all attacking full backs great going forward, but they were most importantly fantastic defensively, dont see that breed nowadays

Why is he still here, and why is he playing CB?? Looks poor as a LB, even worse at CB.

In the long, long tradition of sticking players in defensive midfield because we will never purchase one, Telles has cemented his place: that was categorically the worst performance I've ever seen in midfield by a United player. And there's been some strong competition!

He was better than Donny.

And still awful.

Why do we keep playing Telles in weird positions?

If he's not good enough to earn minutes at left back anymore, why waste game time on him?

Listen, DvB is clearly a goner but Telles was magnitudes worse. Didn't tackle, couldn't control the ball, not sure he completed a pass and was so out of position he might as well have still be on the bench.

It would have made more sense playing him as a centre forward and put Hannibal in midfield because Telles will be sold as soon as we find a mug that will give us a few quid for him and get him off the payroll.

I'd love to know the sheer lunacy that went into us signing this bloke.

Getting the role of "don't care how you do, you aren't in my plans so you'll play in whatever position needs a player" treatment i feel like.

100%. No way in the world he's here come the end of the window (injuries to the first choice two permitting). Just hope he goes permanently.
