No chance it's a large fee imo.

Also, didn't Al Nassr have a ban on registering new players, or am I confusing them with another club?

Yeah but it was over about £370k they owed Leicester so nothing that they'd have to actually worry about

Why would he even be free anyway?
Because we want to get rid of his wages. Normally a Brazil regular left-back would be worth much more than the €10m I’ve seen mentioned as a fee, but we’re desperate to get rid of him and buying clubs know that.

If its anything like the ban Barcelona got a few years back, then they could still buy players. They just couldn't be registered in the squad. Assuming the ban will be sorted soon, then it makes sense for them to continue their transfer business.

I understand we pay stupid wages but surely we would want some money, I’m not suggesting it would be much but it would be terrible business not getting anything for him, especially from a team/league throwing money away for fun this window.

Plus he is hardly one of our highest earners. Just thought the tweet reads as a bit of sensationalism to me.

My lasting memory of him will be him putting "I asked myself if this was a good season" onto social media after the Rangnick debacle

People keep going on about Telles like he's on huge wages, is he not on like 80k or something.

The talk is with add ons it could reach £15 mill but I refuse to believe it
The wages reported for Alex Teles is €12m per year let that sink in Tax Free £196,000 per week for A Teles wow we are getting at least £10/12m if that’s the case ?

If we managed to get a decent fee for him, this will no doubt aid our future transfer budget with the likes of Varane and Casemiro, it’d turn out to be a great investment particularly for Casemiro if we can still recover a good portion of what we paid to Real in a few years time.

He’s on about 80/90k so it’s good business all round
Definitely good to get him off the books, but it's not the sort of salary that means he's absolutely unsellable and should only go on a free, we should be making money from his transfer.

I think we’ll get £12m which is ok for a 30 year old with 1 year left in contract

In a parallel universe Woodward is giving him a 4 year renewal

I forgot about yet another wonderful signing made by ole that has offered sod all resale value, you can add that to Maguire, ronaldo, beek, sancho, cavani and bissaka.

The funny thing is telles will probably make triple of what nassr are offering as a transfer fee in wages per year

Don't get the hate for him. He was cheap, he did alright as a back up to Shaw, not good enough for us now and we're potentially getting a fee for him.

Ended up being a decent transfer

In fairness, his transfer did give Luke Shaw a massive kick up the backside.

Right after the last game of this season vs Palace when we'd lost 6 or 7 on the trot away from home and scrapped Europa League because West Ham got beat - I can imagine the replies put him straight!

Glad we've managed to get rid - that summer's business still baffles me. Hopefully Amad can salvage it.

Celebrating beating us in the EL whilst we were still his parent club did make him look a dick, not losing sleep over it but I don't exactly love the bloke for that.

True, I did forget about that. Ultimately we don't want him, so not that arsed.

Goodbye.

probably the most un-Manchester united player I’ve ever seen us buy along with Darmian, Rojo, Lukaku and Fellaini
