Lets do it tomorrow then, will draft a writeup early morning and send it to crappy.
Good!

I'll get mine sorted and sent. I suggest @crappycraperson starts it somewhere around twelve noon (GMT) if that's convenient for you. Any time is good, really - doesn't matter if I'm not around for the actual kick-off.

As per usual I urge everyone to make sure the rosters are correct, i.e. that these are the 15 (14 in Edgar's case, so he doesn't have to worry about discarding anyone) players you're going into the s-f with.

A never-nude? I thought he just liked cut-offs.
Monday? Or I can put something up and finish it off today?

Have loads to do on weekend.
Today/tonight would be great for me if it fits in with you at all as I won't be around much Sunday or Monday, but if Monday's better for you and Skizzo I'll let you two duke it out :D. We've got our tactics done, pending a few alterations from @Skizzo .

Tbh, it really doesn't matter. Glad to play against you Pat. It'll be today. I'll send the write up in a couple of hours and match can start any time after that.

Don't start drinking. You are much easier opponent sober
Honestly I seem to do my best work drunk :D. I look forward to it mate. I should be home by around 9pm British time, but I'm fine with it starting any time @Skizzo has amended the tactics and forwarded it to Crappy.

No reason to wait until tomorrow, surely? Best way to finish this in style is for the auction to be done with right now (and it can - only one player available for each team and the money situation is fixed and settled), scheduling the final for tomorrow. Push it any further and people won't be around to participate - it's Christmas time, pretty baby, as Elvis said.

Team of the Tourno

NON-ENGLISH GOALIE:
Anyone really, so long as he wasn't English. All semifinalists sported one and no one gave a shit they were even there anyway. Except sajeev.

GARY NEVILLE: Had a fantastic tourno recombining with his old pal Goldenballs to run a devastating right flank for Team Pat/Skizzo.

NEIL FRANKLIN: Immense presence at the centre of Team Chester's defence. Franklin exhuded class and caused instant confidence amid a Team Chester defence that kept switching from three to four and five at the back, with or without specialist fullbacks. A memorable performance that places him among the greatest players, let alone defenders, England has produced. Much improved from his previous draft performance under the alias of Neil Who?

BOBBY MOORE: Same shit really. Even managed to make Lawrenson look decent.

TOMMY GEMMELL: Performed a key role for Team EAPs delightful wingless wonders. Solid in defence, but the right man for the job of providing the width and leaving Brady to roam freely in that inside-left channel.

NOBBY STILES: While many called him limited and a bit of a thug, Stiles sometimes single-handedly held the fort for EAPs top-heavy lineup. He had such an outstanding tourno that his manager thought he could get away with a 4-1-3-2 in the semifinal. His performance against Team Annah's attacking trio will be remembered for decades to come.

GRAEME SOUNESS: Quickly becoming a draft legend of sorts, and rightly so, despite being a twat. Murdoch should really be getting in ahead of him, pulling strings in midfield for the runners-up throughout the tourno. But Souness trumps him in that he also competes in other award categories and is considered a firm favourite for "Brainfart of the Draft" (BotD). Cafnews understands EAP talked him into placing a transfer request but reneged on some of the contractual aspects, opening the door for MJJ to take him and galvanise his wobbly midfield just at the right time. Cafnews also understands there have been ongoing discussions to rename him Edgar Pillock, seeing as he monopolises the three nominations for "BotD": Souness, the aforementioned 4-1-3-2, and forfeiting a group stage game -and first place- after fielding an invalid sub.

BOBBY CHARLTON: Best player in the draft, and best player in the tourno. Similar to Franklin for Chester, he was part of various tactical setups as the winning side evolved. They usually revolved around fitting as many AMs and support strikers as possible into one side. Throughout all that dark and flummoxing period, Charlton provided that instant confidence that it would all end up working, somehow.

STANLEY MATTHEWS: Was part of a devastating attack for Team Annah before completing a bargain 25M transfer to Team MJJ while others preferred to enter bidding wars taking George Best north of 50M. Best is a great player, but not twice the player and the results speak for themselves. Matthews got on with it quietly and was instrumental in MJJ winning this. Georgie on the other hand never fully recovered from his pub crawls with Gazza and wound up losing games with three different teams.

LIAM BRADY: This was a hotly contested spot, but it is hard to argue any of the contenders had a more remarkable tourno than Brady for Team EAP. Possibly Barnes but can't play as he is English. With Gemmell on that flank as well, it's a great fit, as most players were in that team.

DENIS LAW: Probably the player most needed as reinforcement for the semis, he ended up being shipped out for a bargain basement price to the one team that didn't need him except to free up Charles and hide Lawro in the dugout. Another hotly contested spot, with Charles already mentioned, but also Dixie Dean, who probably deserved better after doing wonders for Chester, only to join MJJ just in time to help him win it. Englishness being a deciding factor here as well.

No love for robson, sherwood? @antohan
It's not about who are the best players but which would have performed exceptionally well in their setting. At RB Armfield and Mcgrain are the standouts but neither featured in the semis so out. Among those in the semis, Neville playing with Becks was in his element.

Robbo would have had to play out of his skin to win the games you did with Hoddle as his midfield partner. It wouldn't have been the best Robbo though, and he is English.
