Ah she seems awful and quite base, this is not a defence of her. There are a few deleted posts which contained explicit gender based insults.Well, I can't, clearly. It's the second time I see a thread derailing into complaints about how people post about women and I've no idea why.
Genuine question to you and @moses , what makes you say this? She's got a lot of shit thrown at her, but she did open her trap to make offensive remarks about a place and the people that live in it. Is it wrong to, say, call her a stupid bint?
As far as I can see Di Maria gets hate in equal measure (rat faced cnut, etc) despite not having said jack shit. Where's the difference?
Manchester is very rainy! Thats not even a debate to be had. oh wait...In Munich it's the same, winter can be depressing, fully dark at 4pm in late December. I guess it might not rain as much as Manchester in summer though.
Yeah, odd as feck. I'd say the insult is lost in translation..Women look like porcelain?
There's nothing that can get lost in translation other than dolls. She probably said porcelain dolls. You know, the ones with heads like oversized balloons.Yeah, odd as feck. I'd say the insult is lost in translation..
With the not so subtle make up. Makes sense. There's nothing that can get lost in translation other than dolls. She probably said porcelain dolls. You know, the ones with heads like oversized balloons.
exactly, this isn’t a woman living in some council one bedroom. She’d of been in some 4million pound mansion in leafy Cheshire. It's not surprise most latinamerican players tend to prefer Spain because of a more similar culture and language. To be honest I'd also struggle to adapt leaving in some countries despite being considered developed countries with wealth. Then in Di Maria's wife case they're getting paid stupid money so with those type of wages and being young couple you can do perfectly fine anywhere in the world. All those quotes and statements from her just make her look like a very ignorant and disrespectful person.
Personally, I like porcelain...Porcelain because of the makeup and Botox surely...
I think his point was the opposite, i.e. she was also probably in a 4m pound mansion in Madrid, in Paris and now in Turin. She prefers those to Manchester, which is completely fair and understandable. No need to talk shit about the food and people though.exactly, this isn’t a woman living in some council one bedroom. talk about privilege.
Crime and gangs - just wondering what city/country is not rife with these? Both are rising all over Europe. Litter is also a problem in most cities. The centres of cities are usually cleaner, though, because it is made sure these areas are clean for tourists; they don't bother with any other areas as much. This seems to be more of a tourist view than a local, if you think it is better elsewhere.Crime, litter, gangs, tired looking high streets with empty premises. I think we’re lagging in behind in overall aesthetics too (a legacy of councils/planners not adequately preserving the architectural heritage of our towns and cities).
I’m not a retiree - I’m in my early 30s. Yet, I definitely see the benefits of an outdoor lifestyle. Family in Australia are constantly at the beach and are able to enjoy an active, outdoor lifestyle pretty much all year round. Even within Europe, I think the same is often correct. I lived in Seville for a period, and I definitely think there is something to be said, for the cafe culture on display, with people of all ages sitting out in the squares until late evening - not with the intention of getting smashed either. This is something you see across Europe, even those with cooler climes.
To be honest her comments have wound me up. With what’s going on in world and people wanting safe harbour, in a places like Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Newcastle etc her opinions seem very cruel and an example of the bubble that modern footballers life in.Crime and gangs - just wondering what city/country is not rife with these? Even Singapore, the cleanest city I have ever seen and lived in, is only super clean within the main central area. They have incredibly harsh punishments (even carrying chewing gum carries a pretty hefty fine), but even those don't seem to stop areas from becoming messy. I saw littered areas whenever I travelled into the suburbs.
Isn't an outdoor life just going outside? That view will be heavily dependant on who you know. I know a lot of people in the UK who spend most of their time outdoors, in rain or sun - hiking, running, walking, sports, going to the beach, swimming in the sea etc. You can do all of these things - it is just a weird, and modern, fear of rain that seems to have come about in a very privileged society. Funnily enough, the most indoorsy people I met were actually from Dubai - they wanted to live their lives in air-conditioning and only left it when they had no other choice. Just depends on who you know.
Cafe culture is fine, but how many locals do it and how often? Or is it actually mostly tourists? Locals won't be made of money so I doubt they eat out all the time. We do not have that culture, though, but pubs are good for socialising with people of all ages you would want to reasonably socialise with - most people do not get smashed. Neither are of real significance to whether a place is better to live in, though, in my opinion. It seems a very small part.
And as far as I know, Manchester has become quite a top European destination for events and nightlife, especially with the large student population in the region. What else could you ask for a city to be vibrant?Better players than Di Maria have “survived” living in Manchester. Ok the weather can be crap at times, but thank you to diversity, immigration etc we’ve moved on from Hollands pie and chips!
Did someone mention Holland's pies? Lovely grub. Bob Williamson wrote a song about them.Better players than Di Maria have “survived” living in Manchester. Ok the weather can be crap at times, but thank you to diversity, immigration etc we’ve moved on from Hollands pie and chips!
All cities have issues with litter that’s for sure, but Manchester in particular has a real issue with it in the centre. A lack of cleaning staff and stronger laws to combat it seem to Me to be the logical reasons why it’s so bad. It’s actually pretty embarrassing walking around Manchester sometimes with the amount of shit on the floor. Shame because it’s a great city!Crime and gangs - just wondering what city/country is not rife with these? Both are rising all over Europe. Litter is also a problem in most cities. she will be talking about the food from supermarkets. They aint gonna eat at a restaurant every single night of the week for years whatever. To be fair shes probably right, ive been to italy and the quality of food in supermarkets is vastly superiorAlways blows me away this one, it's an insanely mad international city, we have a fecking China Town, a curry mile, tonnes of brilliant Italien, Thai, Mexican, fecking Argentinian steak restaurants.
Was she eating at her local Wimpy? Was there still a Little Chef around the corner?
fecking nutter.
I’ve been to Italy loads, how the funk is the quality vastly superior? For the most part, Supermarkets all over Europe sell the same shite.she will be talking about the food from supermarkets. Thank you! Tired of mercenary's wives to talk s***e.Of course there are better places to live than Manchester. But who forced them to move there? Who forced him to sign for United? Take less money and play (and live) somewhere else instead. Or keep your mouth shut.
I heard that the weather is like Ferenginar.
Rules of Acquisition #75: "Home is where the heart is... but Manchester is made of latinum."
Serves them right if their only reason for moving to Manchester was latinum.
Maybe they would like to leave the house and go for a meal. It’s intriguing how super rich people can complain about normal-people scenarios.
They could hire a private chef, get great delivery of good ingredients to their door probably. Yet there’s a need for complaining. WAGs are a really a different type of spoiled breed.
Fairly certain you can get a good meal in any metropolitan city, even Birmingham, let alone Manchester. She's chatting shit.Maybe they would like to leave the house and go for a meal.
I'm not saying she isn't. Just the assumption that nevermind, just have your meals at home you can afford it.Fairly certain you can get a good meal in any metropolitan city, even Birmingham, let alone Manchester. She's chatting shit.
