Antonio Conte Sack Watch (Napoli)

Funnily enough the Chelsea job is probably the one most suited to him in club management right now
I disagree.

Whether our new owners ambition pays fruit still has a big question mark but Conte would destroy what we're trying to do instantly.

Out of all the investments in younger players we've made I'd wager Enzo is the only one he won't moan about let alone select.

His problem aswell as his behaviour is his record in Europe, Potter has a better record in the UCL than him already

Antonio spam refreshing his banking app

Well yeah, he would. I'm referring to the Chelsea of the last 20 years rather than the experiment they've become this season.

His record in Europe is awful but you probably won't have to worry about that next season :D

Genuinely wonder where he will go next.

The top tier clubs/teams clearly don't think he's worth the hassle and the tier below he'd just moan endlessly from day one (he will eventually at any club).

It's a shame because fully motivated he's a fantastic coach but he's an absolute maniac.
Inter.
He did a good job there and his style is proven in Italy.

He moaned throughout his time at Inter and left them the moment they hit financial problems (caused in no small part thanks to them overhauling the squad to his desires).

Can't see them going there again.

So Stellini to take charge until the end of the season adn then probably either Nagelsmann or Pochettinoto get the job.

Conte leaves Spurs and England still unbeaten vs United in home games (3 wins in 3).

Good that Tuchel went to Bayern as I'm sure Spurs would have employed him otherwise.

What’s the relevance of that? He’s lost to United plenty of times including this season.

One of Amorim, Nagelmann, De Zerbi should be the path they should take imo. And Paratici needs to listen to what they (head coach) require or else he'll screw another head coach over like he did with Conte.

It's easier to win trophies at Juve, Inter and Chelsea because those clubs are either the biggest club in the land (Juve) or they're backed with significant wealth from Suning (Inter) to Abramovich (Chelsea). Spurs need to make better use of their transfer budget and should hire a head coach with a proactive attacking play style.

Sad thing for Spurs fans is that for the past ten years, they've been sitting at the perfect point to be a top, top club yet they never go for it.

Seems like Levy doesn't want the fans to have any expectations.

He should just sell the club and enjoy the sun

Unfortunately, they're now struck with a bunch of players who are suited to dinosaur football, first padded by Mourinho, then by Conte. If they bring in a "progressive" manager who tries to tweak their style of play, it'll be Nuno Santo all over again before things start looking up.

How big do you lot think Spurs are?

As if Nagelsmann would entertain managing a team like Spurs after managing Bayern and getting sacked with an amazing win record just because a couple of people at the club didn't like him.

They're going to go all in for Frank or pick up Potter at the end of the season.

Big enough to have both Conte and Mourinho as our last two managers? You know the same Mourinho that was Utd manager not long ago.

Never underestimate the lure of managing in the premier league. Sure Spurs are not a "big" club. They are certainly not a small club either.

Conte who rejected Spurs then realised no one wants him and Spurs got him, the owners and the club were so scared of Conte that they let him say / do whatever he wants.

Btw, who did better between the two? Haven’t really followed Spurs under Conte so curious how he did compared to Mourinho.

No way, he wants instant success, not a bunch of kids. He'd be complaining about not getting the players he wants.

Top Italian clubs will always be interested in him and Real Madrid also possible if Ancelotti goes to Brazil.

Spurs pay Conte £15m ….Bayern pay Nagelsmann €8m

Do the maths

Tiny in terms of titles, but they sure pay way better than most German sides.

A premier league club with top rate facilities and stadium, bags of potential and a decent squad if managed right ... no way is Nagelsmann to big for Spurs, in my mind it's a great fit for both.

If you were getting Nagelsmann you’d have got him now. Waiting until the summer, I think you’ve already been turned down (if pursued). He’s Madrid bound I think.

Still can’t believe folk mentioned Conte for the United job post Ole. This will be a blessing for Spurs in the long run I think.

It's fecking laughable.

Anyone with half an ounce of foresight could see this ending like this. He does this everywhere when things don't go his way, falls out the players, the club, the owners etc.. and they just have to get rid of him because he's such a pain in the hole.

He might be ok for a bit if you are almost guaranteed to win the league, like Celtic or PSG, but eventually he'll still find something to fall out with somebody over.
