He'll come good. We should drop him though, let him work through what ever his problem is. It doesn't look likely that he'll play his way out of it.

Nah. Had a few bits of very good link up play.
He's a winger for Man Utd. "a few bits of very good link up play" is nowhere near good enough. He's no threat out wide or infront of goal.

His stopping and standing on the ball while looking at what to do next is driving me fecking insane. It slows our play down so much and anyone who has found space stands there like a lemon as a defender walks over to them and marks them.

He's been ok but I don't think there's anything more frustrating than him turning 270 degrees to use his other foot. I'd be less frustrated listening to Steve McManaman and Niall Quinn commentate a game of headers and volleys between DDG and Nani.

He doesn't seem to impact games anymore. But who knows. Maybe SAF has been telling him to sacrifice himself for the team.

He's broke. Hope he gets a good preseason and gets back to his old self next season. We've given him plenty of chances to play himself into form by now.

Young and Nani should be starting ahead of him.

Looks better at Right Back than he does as a winger, hes just lost when it comes to beating his man now.

I don't know what's happened to this guy, was it last year he was voted players player of the year and I think fans player of the year at the united awards? This season he's just gone backwards and has lost all creativity.

I hope it comes back to him but it seems this year he's had a complete turn around and swapped roles with Hernandez. Hernandez has taken his game to a whole new level whilst Valencia has gone back a level or 3.

He's doing a grand job to prove himself as a worthy successor to Micheal Owen's No. 7 Jersey.

I'd be more than happy to see him sold in the summer.

Honestly not seen anything like this. What in the name of living feck has happened to him? It's like he's died and been reincarnated as Gus Caesar.

I genuinely don't know what he's trying to achieve when he gets the ball

I almost felt the same way about Hernandez but look how he's turned it around. Valencia is going through a very bad patch no doubt, but calling for him to be sold is a bit extreme.

If he continues to play I've this next season then I'd agree but for now I'd rather just see him play in a squad role.

Tell me you disagree. Assuming we could bring someone else as well as Zaha in.
He's had a shit season but before that he was pretty consistently great for 3 years. I don't believe that at 27/28 he can't come back to that level again.

Also, why does everyone keep saying to get rid of one winger over the other? Can't we just ... keep them?

He was a player who's whole game was based on one single trick: being fecking quick and fecking powerful and beating his fullback to allow him time to cross.

He had a serious injury and another not so serious injury and as a result hasn't had anything like that pace this season and he has nothing to compensate for it. Unless he can get that pace back, which I don't think he can, he has nothing left to offer at this level.

Nice rewriting of history.

He hasn't had any serious injury since his last patch of brilliant form.

Read what I said, he hasn't shown that pace this season. He has had a hip injury though and he's just not done the business. He looks completely clueless now he can't beat a man. He slows down the game by standing on the ball and doing the most infuriating 270 degree turn to pass the ball with the outside of his boot because he has no left foot. What kind of professional footballer can't play a simple pass with both feet? Even I can do that and I'm shit.

Bullshit post.

Anyway he's been very good in the second half. Not that I expect him to get some credit on here.

On current form Nani is much better.
When that form is based on 300 odd minutes in 3 months, it tells you everything. He also has more goals and assists than Valencia in that time who has played just over 2000 minutes.

He has been better this half but he's playing right back. His days as a top class winger are over imo, he offers zero going forward, absolutely nothing. I honestly think he'd make a decent rb.

He has been poor but think you all are writing him off a bit soon here.
