Are Man Utd in a position to improve the squad this summer?

Who will drive player sales and recruitment? Brailsford? Wilcox? Blanc?

There was alot of talk about Man Utd bringing in a new director of recruitment, but it does not look like it will be in place for the summer. Neither is Ashworth or Berrada. So how will the club approach this window?

I’m sure Ineos will be keen to cut losses on a few players as soon as possible and that will hopefully give the club a chance to bring in a few new faces. But are the club ready to do that?

The recruitment have been so bad for the past fifteen years. Fixing this before investing heavily will be crucial. There is a huge difference in how Chelsea/Boehly operate today compared to the summer he came in. Bringing in those people from Brighton have played a big part in that.

A clear out of some of the dead wood and putting some faith in the young players would go some way to improving the squad. Not sure who we should be bringing but some experienced players with a right attitude and not here for a final hurrah on stupid money, to help the transition (it pains me to say it but someone of the ilk of a Milner, looking at the job he did for the bin-dippers).
