I think a few people are getting carried away. Let's not forget we just won the title and the players were probably not 100% due to partying and all, which is very understandable. Arse should have capitalised on that but still couldn't beat us at their home ground despite being gifted an offside goal. If citeh were still in with a chance we would have beaten Arse today.

Overall a draw a fair result. Started the game brilliantly, caught your lot off guard and really should of wrapped the match up. We couldn't keep up with that intensity and Man Utd got better as the game went on. Your lot probably had the better chances but in general play our lot better, so fair result.

Officials got some big calls wrong today, both teams on the receiving end of bad decisions. Got a bit boosted with his yellow cards as well.

Where's all this 'on the piss all week' stuff coming from? Is there any suggestion of this?

Also, how can people tell hungover United not really turning up but doing enough to grind out the points from ordinary United?

I think 'hungover' is just a pigeon-hole for "crowned Chanpions so focus is off and people are happy to be playing with no real need to win".

It was clear we went into the game without any real intensity and Arsenal put in more tackles in the first 30 minutes than they have all season. Yet, despite kicking us senseless for that half hour, our players seemed to get all the bookings! Apart from Sagna, he got one. And then didn't...

There was one great moment in the second half when we countered through Ando but he couldn't control the pass back up to him. That would have been a brilliant goal had it been finished.

There was some pictures of the lads on a celebratory night out in Manchester last week, that's all.

We played some great football yesterday, think we are being a tad too harsh on ourselves.

I don't think anyone actually thinks they've spent the week rolling in and out of early houses. They definitely had a big night (and day) on the lash after winning the league and Fergie himself admitted that they've been taking it very easy in training. It's more about losing the edge that comes from chasing a title anyway. Which can make a big difference, as Graham Sounness pointed out beforehand when he reminisced about winning the league with 8 games left and failing to win any of their remaining fixtures.

As for your final sentence, you just need to compare and contrast the intensity of performance in our last two games. Especially in first 30 minutes or so.

That's why we need to give the younger players more games in the last few match, they might show some drive and willingness that our core players probably don't really have at the moment.

One was against a shit team at home in a game we aimed to secure the title, it was a rarity to see us play with that tempo and intensity. That was our only good performance in months. We played better yesterday if anything than against the likes of Reading, City, Sunderland, Stoke, West Ham.

I thought we were pretty poor and if we had really been bothered we would have won the game pretty easily. Some players looked disinterested and it showed. The referee seemed intent on ruining the game and every tackle seemed to be a yellow card for United.

Im hoping we put a better performance in against Chelsea. The fringe players had better put in a much improved showing or else they are surely going to be on the way out.
