Doubt Amrabat will be involved. Not played any matches yet or done any proper training sessions.
Probably not but it's what I'd do. If he tires bring on McSauce.

Absolutely. He could be the difference in what result we get. I’m excited to see Hojlund play for us though.

Hojlund is available and imo has to start, Rashford left and Antony right, Bruno and Casimero and Eriksen . Lindelof will be with Martinez and I expect the Spurs loanee at left back to Start as well, if this Amrabat guy comes in could well be on bench but I doubt it.. well usuall suspects don't give us a chance as the Arsenal that drew against 10 men Fulham are a superior side and the only team that can pass City to win the league..
    Let's see on Sunday.

    I reckon:
    Onana
    AWB - Lindelof - Martinez - Reguilon
    Casemiro
    Eriksen - Bruno
    Antony - Hojlund - Rashford

    3-1 Arsenal.

If Amrabat is with the team and is allowed to play (work permit/paperwork sorted, whatever), he should be in the first eleven. Even without having had training with the team I think he has the kind of ferocity we could use for this.

Is it possible to remove Brandon Williams and Mengi from selection options? Those are disposed of. Amrabat to be added too

I'd like to see Højlund start, with Rashford and Antony. Arsenal will certainly have more of the ball, which will work in our favour, as we won't be so stretched, and can hit them on the break. Antony will be the key as LB is their weak point, and we have to exploit this.
I can see us scoring, but we have to defend really well to keep Saka and Martinelli quiet.

Wonder how many people on here will be calling for Amrabat to start despite him having trained with the team perhaps once before this game. It's not like we're playing some bottom dwellers here. Ten Hag would be taking a huge risk if he starts Amrabat against Arse.

He can’t play. Players have to be registered before noon on Friday.

He can’t start. He wasn’t registered in time to play on Sunday. We won’t see him until after the international break.

...to be able to play on Saturday (I think).

    From Sky:

Can Deadline Day signings play on Saturday?

So your club has signed a player on Deadline Day. But can they play in Saturday's match?

If registration documents were submitted prior to 12pm today, they will be eligible to feature.

If they were submitted after 12pm and before 11pm, the registration will still be processed, but they will not be able to feature until Sunday September 3.

Deadline day signings implies they can only play on deadline days.

    AWB. Lindelof. Licha. Regulion
    Cas. Amrabat
    Anthony. Bruno. Rashford
    Hojlund

Lets go in with a solid midfield and give Hojlund a start!

I wrote a comment couple of days ago on this thread and was hoping that Amrabat transfer will be completed on time in order to put him in a double pivot with Casemiro against Arsenal in order for us not to get embarrassed. He won't be able to play, unfortunately.

But, good news is that Hojlund is available and he will share the CF minutes with currently (barely) healthy Martial. Rashford will play on the left where he's most dangerous.

Midfield will get overrun with Eriksen(probably?) before he gets out of gas and substituted by McTominay at 60th minute(ETH's sub pattern). Then Arsenal will swarm us in the last half an hour and we won't see the ball much likely and will get totally disjointed. Only Bruno Hollywood pass to Rashford on the counter will be a remaining tactic.

Arsenal will drop Havertz for this game and start with Rice - Partey - Odegaard midfield which we will struggle to break through. Wouldn't be surprised also to see Ramsdale dropped for Raya for this game. Saka will rinse whoever is our left back and that will be the biggest defensive problem. I can see a penalty conceded by fouling Saka in the box by the left back or Licha. I would bet that happens, actually.

Considering our current form and injury struggles, I would consider a decent resistance, non-blowout a success here. Just don't allow City, Liverpool, Brentford humiliating away games from last season to repeat and it will be ok, I guess - respectable loss is expected of me.

Alvaro Fernandez should also be removed from selection - left on loan

This is the worst way to kill the excitement of a new player. Such a stupid time to have an international break, just when players are moving or settling into new teams/leagues/countries. If he’s not available, colour me grumpy.

More pressure on them than on us. I have a strange, good feeling about this game. I think we can beat them.

    So:

    Onana

    AWB
    Lindelof
    Martinez
    Reguilon

    Casemiro
    Eriksen
    Bruno

    Antony
    Martial
    Rashford

Hard to see us starting with anything other than the above unless there are any injuries? Possibly Dalot at LB?

    Gutted Amrabat will miss this.

Love playing at the Emirates and I think he would've put on a good show.

Ramus has a better chance of playing than Amrabat. The guy barely touched down 48hrs before the game.

He'll probably play against Brighton at OT.
I will be a lot more confident with him play in our midfield.

Think Scott starts this to give that extra legs in midfield.

    Onana
    AWB - Lindelof - Martinez - Reguilon
    Casemiro - Scott
    Bruno
    Antony - Martial - Rashford

    Subs Garnacho and Hoijlund

Based on that he is eligible. Or am I missing something here?

Oh maybe your right, I just assumed he would have to be registered before 12pm for any of the weekends games.

I think Dalot starts on left back. He did well in the last game, and is a better player than Regulion. We would go with Casemiro-Erikson and Hojlund upfront.

I don't think we're ready to take on Arsenal away at this point. Eriksen and Reguilon (or more likely Dalot) vs Odegaard and Saka just seems like the most obvious way for us to lose the match.

My guess is McTominay starts to mark Odegaard and help the LB. Arsenal are much stronger on that side with Saka/Odegaard/Partey than the Martinelli/Havertz/LB side, even if Zinchenko plays, but especially if Kiwior is out there for defensive reasons.

Ideally we'd just start Amrabat and tell him to mark Odegaard for an hour then bring in Eriksen when he's shattered, but that seems unlikely.

Amrabat needed to be signed before 12pm yesterday to enable him to play, so he is not an option at all.

I would also start McT I think but I doubt ETH goes that way.
