The LiveLoveA$AP mixtape has been out for a while, but I just found it and couldn't find a thread so..

Don't listen to a lot to hiphop nowadays, but this is just fecking amazing. Doesn't hurt that Clams Casino has produced a lot of the tunes.

Massively over rated. People are going crazy for clams casino but he's been producing for Lil B for ages. Leads me to believe most people who diss don't actually listen to his music!

Weird as feck listening to A$AP, never thought I'd see the day when I'd see an East Coast rapper rapping like he wishes he's from the South, I like it to be fair.

Went to the concert at Cargo last night, it was fecking off. He knows how to perform and his set order helped too.

Tons of people there who came just to say they went to his first London show but the vibe was alright, when he did Peso as an encore I thought some of the tiny babes at the front were gonna get crushed.

Would have fecking loved to make it to the Cargo show
It was a sweatbox, people snuck in so it was over capacity. If you went over in there you would have died, but I think it made the atmosphere better.

He jumped directly on me when he stage dived during pretty flacko.

Think he has more shows in June one in Camden's Electric Ballroom so have a look for tickets

When Pretty Flacko came on everyone went crazy, his set order is great. He spaced out Pretty Flacko, Brand New Guy, Purple Swag and Pe$o really well. His DJ killed after he finished as well. Man, when he came out to Pretty Flacko it was just insanity. There were loads of hipsters about but where I was stood with my mates the energy was ridiculous. It was jumping like Vince Carter in the dunk contest and all that for £14!

Yup. feck 'em though. His DJ dropped ScHoolboy Q, 'Nightmare on Figg St.', after Rocky had finished and I went crazy and loads of hipsters gave me funny looks.

Listening to it now, production is quality, expected that from an A$AP project.

Only have listened to Rocky so still unsure to the other rappers. Great to get Danny Brown on there...

Danny Brown's verse was good, as we're the Rocky verses. None of the other members are very good rappers at all though. Rocky isn't even really that good but he knows how to make songs sound good, the rest can't even manage that. I spent most of my time trying to ignore their rapping and listen to the beats instead.

To be honest I don't like the other A$AP rappers, I enjoy Rocky's flow and his production choice.

Yep, same here. An instrumental version would be amazing.

That's the problem with all of them really, none of them are good rappers. Rocky is rated so much higher because he's surrounded by rappers who can barely speak English. His flow suits the production very well, given, but there's rarely anything of substance from him, it's just ignorant shit but at least he sounds good on the beats compared to the rest of the Mob. I'd gladly take an all Rocky version of that tape, but an instrumental would be best.

Same problem with Rvidxr Klvn, except for them it's even worse. I much prefer the production coming out of Raiders, but the rapping is so poor, it makes hard listening. I think Lil Ugly Mane has the best out of them (honorary), but to be honest he still isn't very good, in fact I prefer it when he's just chopped and screwed instead.

Good example, crazy beat that I love, but with utter shit rap. Goldeneye sample....beautiful.

A$AP Mob are on the whole shit with excellent production, Rocky's flow helps him stand out. Flow+Production is enough.

Depends what you're into.
Nah it's enough, horrible lyricism is ignored when an excellent flow is coupled with excellent production. For instance the line:

"Never let me slip, cause if I slip, then I'm slippin' "

Totally shit but totally ignored. Biggie didn't have brilliant lyricism but his flow was impeccable.

Whoa there! He wasn't half bad lyrically.

Yeah but he's not like a lot of these Underground cats who can spit dictionaries and shit, sometimes rappers overcomplicate things. On the whole flow+content+production wins. With Rocky flow+production is enough and I think he has some content in him but that can come with development.

Content matter is important, Biggie told a story with his lyrics, it did help that he had the best flow of all time, but with Rocky, who I like, his subject matter and content is repetitive and stale as feck, his flow and production choice make him good.

What the feck is this new single? I don't think Rocky has developed his own identity yet. He needs to squash the beef with RaiderKlvn and get back in the lab with SGP.

Haven't heard it, dunno what direction he's taking at the moment. Loved Goldie.

He distanced himself from the A$AP tape after it got bad reviews, which was a bit shit of him.

A$AP Ferg was the star of that tape. Although when Raekwon started rapping on it I was like shit these guys are awful in comparison.
