Balotelli in hot water after curry

Mario Balotelli facing fine for breaking Man City curfew - ESPN Soccernet

Controversial Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli is facing an internal investigation and possible disciplinary action after breaching the club's late-night curfew ahead of Monday's Premier League match at Chelsea.

Balotelli was spotted in Manchester curry house Zouk in the early hours of Sunday morning despite club rules stating players must not be out socialising within 48 hours of a game.

The 21-year-old Italian, who was not drinking alcohol, signed autographs, posed for pictures with fellow diners and was involved in a mock sword-fight using rolling pins.

City boss Roberto Mancini is tolerant of his players socialising responsibly but the club have confirmed a curfew was in place ahead of the fixture at Stamford Bridge and the manager will ask Balotelli to explain his actions.

Balotelli has made headlines for a raft of unusual reasons since joining City, including causing a blaze by fireworks being let off in his bathroom; throwing darts at a youth team player last season; and driving into women's prison.

Despite his often bizarre behaviour off the pitch, he has show an increased maturity on it, scoring ten goals in all competitions. He is likely to be a substitute against Chelsea.

I know it was as a result of our awful defeat, but when I heard he drove around the city in his convertible Bentley high-fiving all the City fans after it, I just found it absolutely hilarious.

Brilliant! This lad is just want all 20 year old footballers should be like. Good at his job but clearly enjoying life to the full. The kind of player that you wouldn't want eleven of in your team but you need one of! A massive character like Gazza was!

Good curry house too, the guys obviously got some taste for a crazy mutha fecker

As long as he isn't in a team I support I think he's fantastic. I'd be mighty pissed if one of our players was out having mock sword-fights using rolling pins the night before a very important game.

I can see his relationship with Mancini deteriorating over time and hopefully that will cause a massive shock wave of disruption through the rest of the Citeh squad.

That being said he is very amusing!

The man can't even put on a bib without help. Is it any wonder that he crashes cars and burns down his house?
I must say, despite watching him goad me and thousands of other united fans at Wembley last season, I do enjoy reading about his antics. If I'd have been a millionaire footballer at 20 years old, I'd have probably got into a scrape or two and made the tabloids. Most of it is harmless stuff!

I read on ceefax that they might fine him 100k.

A curry that cost a hundred thousand pounds! A curry. That cost. A hundred. Thousand. Pounds.

And a swordfight thrown in the mix. MENTAL.

I really like him I have to say. I wasn't sure at first, but with his constant shenanigans as well as showing a serious side (finding the truant who was being bullied at school) he seems like a decent bloke who is just a bit mental in the head

It should also be remembered that he put up with some serious racial abuse and stick in Italy at times, I'm sure that had a pretty negative effect on him. I agree with Kinky, he's nuts but he doesn't seem like a bad guy at all and he's great entertainment.

Oh sure, it's all fun and games now, but you won't be laughing when he cuts off Savic's head and brings it in to use for training.

Balotelli is amazing, and should be liked by everyone. He's like a more rogue, unaware, and puzzling Eboue, that's all. You look at the things he's done outside of football since coming here, the guy is a fecking hero.

Really?

He also set fire to his house.
A car crash? So? A ton of our own players have been involved in far worse ones than that, and even then, it's a car crash, not really something people can't understand or excuse. Him burning down his house is perfect entertainment, we want more of that, not less.

The pic was a response to "nothing he does causes any damage or harm". Well, he obviously damaged a house and a car and speeding recklessly in a car you can't handle is the easiest way to get yourself killed.

I must admit I find his antics funny. I think he'd be everybodies favourite player if he was playing for us. He's the lovable rogue. His likeability is partly to do with the fact that he doesn't do these things out of malice, he's just a tad dense or lacking in common sense.

Still can't stop laughing at the bib incident

Fixed. You only need the bit after the equals sign.
