I think DDG, like McTominay, for example, just needed to move on. I don't think he'd have recaptured his best form here, some players get tired and jaded, and DDG looked shot at United.
Once again, it's seems we missed a perfect example to sign a good replacement on the cheap with the Japanese lad, but bottled it as usual!
I don't mind trying Bayindir but if he's not the answer long term, dropping Onana just damages his potential transfer value. I'd keep him as #1 until the end of the season, hope he avoids too many major clangers and then try to get £20-25m for him.
