He lost it just prior to that as well when he failed a nutmeg. We won the ball back, gave it to Bruno so he could lose it again only for us to win it back a 2nd time so that Mainoo could have his go of giving it away.

All of this happened within about 20sec.

Those players each have their own issues but that's a generous perspective to defend Bruno. Imagine maybe Bruno could stop doing those first time through balls or crosses and instead keep the ball? Why try to 'create' when you're forcing the issue? He's as sorry of an option as our attacking midfield considering his age, profile and experience compared to those mentioned.

I don't fault his effort and clutch plays but he can definitely reign in his either a 1 or 10 execution of each moment.

Yeah. His play when chasing games has always been far too hectic, he'll sit there in the 60th minute making decisions as if it's the 89th minute. Always been a frustrating trait.

Yeah that’s my thinking as well. He has the passing ability to do well from there as well. I think that was probably the hope if Mount could stay fit, as none of the other attackers/mids have covered themselves in glory.

Agree, it started early today and I guess, it is those games where we are battled from the first minute onwards. I think, he struggled today and this, as on other occasions brought out some of his worst features, exemplary his shot from 25meters away despite a packed box. I have to acknowledge him positively though, actually made him man of the match given there were no real alternatives, because while I thought he'd go completely rampant he managed to get it together in the 2nd half and in a deeper position, kept a little calmer, played a little smarter. Really think, taking Ugarte off set us off to handing the midfield over to the opponent today, it was always going to be chaotic from then on.

As a captain we need him to be a calming influence on the pitch. He is anything but that

Made some good runs playing higher up the pitch. If Mainoo's pass was better, he could have equalized right before half-time. When Garnacho came on and started making runs in-behind, thus returning to what is known to this team, he (and the team) also looked more effective. Whether we should be relying on this type of football to win football matches or not, it is a question that needs answering, though.

The one constant in all of that is Bruno. Get rid of Bruno and you start playing football more instead of chaos ball that exasperates all of the problems that you mentioned.
