There are a number of mistakes before it got near De Gea.

It was a free kick near the half way line with seconds left on the clock. Absolutely disastrous defending from everyone involved.
Everybody laughed at Ray Wilkins and his 'stay on your feet', well maybe it is just wiser to do just that and keep people away from the goal. You don't always need to put a tackle in.

He needs to rip off the captain armband from Maguire and take it for himself. Feck that coward. If he can't do it by himself get Fred and Cavani to hold him down and jump him like a gang beating.

Fair play to him. Had to be said. I'd have no problem if it was a once off mistake, it happens. But it's the same culprits everytime.

Ole needs to be ruthless with the keeper. Conceed a goal? Your benched next match. Keep a clean sheet, you keep your place.

if those comments upset anyone they are at the wrong club
This. He’s absolutely bang on.

The whole team and management are doing very well to progress how we are with our performances but feckin idiotic moments are costing us time and again.

You cannot concede three goals from three attacks all game, pure shambles from De Gea in particular yesterday.

Our forwards definitely press less than our rivals do. @Pogue Mahone posted the numbers indicating so (Cavani and Greenwood the only two that came out with any dignity). At the same time, we're among the highest in goals conceded from set-pieces and headers. We concede 1.30 goals per match, which is way worse than anyone around us in the table (Arsenal concede 1.0 per game, and they're shit!). Our defence was entirely to blame for last night's defeat and it's not the only time they've shit the bed recently (second Sheffield United goal was an offence to football). It's not working back there.
That's because we don't play as high line, in part because DDG isnt a sweeper keeper like Allison or Ederson.

Yes, but you see, he already implies that a freekick from that area should not be a problem--and it shouldn't. So for me that leaves only the defending of the freekick once the ball gets to the box.

“It’s impossible to concede another goal again, from a free-kick in the half of the pitch, we concede a goal from there and the way we concede.”

Nothing wrong with those comments. Our defence seemed intent on throwing away that game yesterday.

You'll think he should saying that publicly? Even if it's quite obviously true from watching the game?

It should have also been cleared. None of our defenders got near the ball, they got a flick on and Maguire shouldn't have played everyone onside and then raised his hand as if DCL was offside.

Yes De Gea was at fault but it shouldn't have come to that.

Without naming any names he openly hung out a certain section of his teammates. Yes he was disappointed, but his comments aren't going to have a positive effect on the players he's targeting.
Those comments should come from the manager. Not a player surely!!
He's just stating the obvious. If our CBs and keeper cant handle the attention of being called out for a poor defensive record and conceding poor goals often than its their problem not Bruno's and saying nothing wouldnt help matters either because these players have been getting away with it for too long already. The manager didnt sign a new CB this summer, hes not going to say it when his choice is part of the problem.

Hopefully it puts the pressure on to get a new CB and give Henderson a run, seeing our best player by a mile frustrated by whats going on at the back rather than having him be unhappy and winding his contract down or looking for a move.

Where has be 'blamed' specific team mates? He's staying that the team threw away the win due to shit defending. He's saying what we all know to be true.
Exactly. He repeatedly, and doubtless deliberately, includes himself by using 'We'. There is no indirect accusation here. The team defended with far less intensity and quality than it should have done. That's a simple statement of fact, and anyone who reads it as some kind of oblique personal attack is either looking to find something to get offended about, or suffering from a level of personal insecurity and defensiveness incompatible with being a top level sportsman. Which is why I have no doubt that not a single person in our dressing room will even consider being offended by Bruno's comments.

Nothing wrong with those comments. He's spot on, and he doesn't hang anyone out to dry anyway.

Glad someone came out and said it. The managers comments were weak.

The best way to determine the mental strength of any squad is to look for the reactions of players when valid criticism comes their way. Bruno, like any true leader, doesn't hold teammates to standards he doesn't demand for himself. This is the way it's always been in sports with winners. This kind of high accountability has to emanate from somewhere.

Never been any good at inserting youtube clips on here. Anyone help me on this and insert the clip from the post match comments where Scoles is in the studio.
He was very complementary about Pogba for a change. Changes the game once he went off, big turn around by him as usually has zero positives with regard to Pogba.
Baiscally called Dave a coward.

Even Willian had much better pressing stats, though, and Arsenal don't tend to press that much. Pretty much every other rival team had better numbers than us. It was Martial and Rashford that were alarmingly low and really stuck out to memory.

EDIT. Sorry my mistake, it was tackling stats. We defend in units as opposed to a team press so those numbers stick out even more with the forwards clearly not doing their bit.

It must be infuriating

Playing as well as Bruno did and scoring a goal like that and then being let down by your defenders and especially your 'keeper.

Let's hope Bruno landed one on slab heads chin. There was a game earlier in the season where Maguire gave away a goal and apparantely Bruno went for him in the changing room at half time. Bruno didnt re start the second half in that match

Nothing wrong with any of the comments.

We will forever be just a top 4 team if the clown show at the back continues season after season after season.

The frustrating thing is that you can't pinpoint one defender exactly. They all take it in turns to feck up royally.

He‘s not wrong to speak up ....someone needs to say something.

Despite having such an expensive defence, Utd have conceded more goals than any team in the top half.

he's 100% right and I doubt any player is upset about those comments. If they are they don't belong at a top club.

I'm sticking to my principles on this, whatever the opinions of other caf members. You don't indirectly stick blame on your teammates openly in the media. That's for the dressing room!
He criticised the team as a whole after throwing away a 2-0 lead then a 3-2 lead in the final minute.

Absolutely fine by me and he should be captain, not our international criminal mastermind. :)

Nothing wrong with his comments , if anything there were a bit reserved. But you can sense the annoyance in him that as things stand stand we are going nowhere as we concede far too many goals.

He's absolutely right in his comments, just as Pogba was right when he encouraged the team to attack back in Jose era
