Looking at fixtures. United have Villa (H) on the Friday. City away at Chelsea on the Sunday. The semi final is on the following Tuesday. Im sure something will be said about that. Big advantage for United

Hes back. Spurs must have won. We've missed you
And he's right. United fans moaning about their luck in draws and/or City's/Chelsea's luck in draws is getting old right now (and has been going on for years).

And City are nothing special right now. You drew a good team in the semis of a cup competition, boo fecking hoo.

We drew the hardest side left in the competition who also are a direct derby rival?

Still no reason to fear them. We can cause them as many problems and have more players on form than they do. We can definitely beat them and should go into the game confident. They are not the same City.
They aren't the same City, but they aren't pushovers. United beating them in previous outings have been on the counter and City don't attack like they used to. So a lot more ingenuity from United is needed, yet have to keep their shape and win 1v1 battles. No reason to fear them no, but still have to respect them and their talent which will make for a good semi-final.

It will 100 % be on Wednesday. Still a big advantage for us with 48h extra rest.

Well Mourinho has won a trophy in his first season at every club he's managed

...so it's no surprise Tottenham were drawn against Brentford at home

I was sure that we will get Spurs because of City's luck in draws
Until recently the reverse was true.
Lost count of the number of times United drew minnows in Cup competitions particularly in the Ferguson years.

Oooh, they will talk about it all the time. As soon as they found out.

And do you think it's down to the 1 in 3 chance or to a higher power that doesn't want Utd to win anything?

Also very debatable that City are a harder draw than Spurs at the moment.

Lose against City and that will be 4 semi-final losses in a year, throw the Leipzig game in there too as a huge knockout game and it's 5.

It may only be the Carabao Cup but this is a make or break game for the mentality of this squad.

It’s really not.

If we lose it’s not bottling, or a mentality problem. Someone always has to lose.

And you wumming is getting old too. Last time you downplayed Everton as a 'midtable side' even though they were top 4 at the time (and still are) and overhyped relegation candidate Arsenal as some sort of difficult tie.

Crazy isn't it - "This will just be another easy draw for City while we get Chelsea or something", then City get Arsenal and you get a midtable PL side, "ffs first the CL nightmare draw and now this!"

Since you're counting the Leipzig game might as well count the Leicester game last season?

A lot on here complained about the Everton draw (and you won). A lot on here complained about a perfectly reasonable CL draw (and you should've qualified). More complaining and conspiracies about the draw today (and you're the stronger side and favorite according to the league table). It really shows how far you've fallen instead of just being confident for a change.

I can't properly recall this specific fact from our Semi-Final's last season, but didn't our Number 2 keeper play in the Quarter-Final's?

...and then we put De Gea back in goal for each Semi-Final and lost them all?

Tonight we had our Number 2 keeper play in a Quarter-Final... I can see how this is going to play out!

Too true. When conspiracies start for a 1 in 3 chance it is sad.

I look forward to a great SF. We’d have lost to Brentford anyway. Game On !

shut up. How did you escape the cull?

Everyone says the same thing about every draw, no matter who you support.

Because? The FA wants City to win it for the gazillionth time in a row? They're hell bent on keeping Utd away from the final? Come on now.
Unless my memory is failing the last 3 times both City and United have appeared in a Cup semi final draw they have been paired together.
Your 1 in 3 chance argument now becomes a 1 in 27 chance.
I'm convinced it's predetermined. Not moaning about it, just saying.
